Me & the wife popped into Paschi Indian restaurant on Friday night. This place is a small cosy restaurant, with a modern interior. We’ve wanted to come here for ages as we moved to the area last year.

We walked into the restaurant & the waiter asked if we’d pre booked, we said no but he got us a nice table near the back of the restaurant. It’s tight squeeze in this restaurant, only around 10 tables. However they’ve done well making it look appealing inside.

Starters;

The wife had the Garic & Mushroom Puri, she said she was pretty disappointed with it. Real lack of any true flavour apart from an over riding tase of tinned coriander.

I had the Chicken Tikka starter, I found my chicken to be on the dry side. Not succulent pieces of chicken, more slightly tasteless dry pieces of tough chicken. Again, disappointing.

Mains

The wife had the Vegetable Biriani, big portion lacking in any discernible taste. Again with an overwhelming taste of tinned coriander.

I had Chicken Vinderloo, I was personally left very disappointed with this dish. Very oily, no big kick of flavour, not even particularly spicy. The chicken didn’t seem fresh & was slightly tough. It’s one of the worst Vinderloo’s I have had in sometime.

This place gets very busy fast, I’d suggest if you’re in a group 4+ to pre booked especially at weekends as it’s only a small place.

We also ordered:

Mitch aka the guy working upstairs, was a genuine legend, he clearly had excellent customer service skills and knows how to add the finishing touches to really improve and personalize your experience, the man did not stand still for 5 minutes and was up and down the stairs non-stop serving customers, an actual true pleasure to be served by this master of his craft.

The food was just exceptional, I often find portion sizes are redicules in other similar venues, however this was perfect, we left abit for when we got home, which they were happy to box and package for us, but we left them behind by mistake because we were chatting to other guests that we had become friendly with during our meals.

I will without a shadow of a doubt be returning to this fantastic little hidden gem, great food, great friendly and hard working staff, a truly memorable experience, make sure you visist this humble restruant you will not be disappointed...

First date night since lockdown ended! We tried to get a reservation at Panchi just before lockdown with no success so we were so excited when they opened up for take out Thursday- Sunday! As you can imagine we took full use of this and instantly fell in love with the food. Now lockdown is over we finally managed to get a babysitter for out little boy and donned the evening attire for a much awaited night out, we were not disappointed. The food was spectacular and the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. We ordered poppadoms with pickle tray, a mixed meat starter and onion bajis to start. My wife ordered malibu chicken with coconut rice and pashwari naan, I decided on the balti chicken with pilau rice and a plain naan. Absolutely stunning food! Will be returning as soon as we can. Thank you for a...
