Blue Tiffin — Restaurant in St Helens

I've had takeaway from here a few times but never eaten in. I don't know why, just hadn't. The wife and I went there on Friday night for a meal and it was gorgeous. Whilst the takeaway is very nice, the food was even more delicious eating in and you could tell it was made fresh. They asked us if we were ready for our meals and fired them straight away so it was timely and as fresh as possible. Prices are very reasonable. We paid just under £20 a head (including drinks) for poppadoms, chutney tray, 2 curries, rice, naan and drinks. Very well priced, no complaints. The staff were super friendly and took the time to explain dishes to us, chat about the restaurant and talked to us about the food and the cooking. They were lovely. Will definitely go again and...

We arranged a big birthday bash here last night and have never left a restaurant so upset and disappointed. The staff were the most unorganised and rude people we have come across, every request was treated as though you were asking for something you shouldn't be, then made to go and get our own drinks from the bar was ridiculous, the orders from start to finish were taken in a way that meant none of us were eating at the same time, then to almost have a full on argument at the end over a perfectly valid blue light discount left a very sour taste, for most of the night there was only us in so God only knows how much worse it would have been if it was busy, such a shame for such lovely food. Don’t normally leave a bad review would normally contact the restaurant directly. On first contact they weren’t helpful. Definitely have to share this…. Ordered a takeaway… delivery driver pulled up then drove off …. By the time they did come back…. Food was cold. Wasn’t even in a heat proof carrier Very poor service from the restaurant and delivery. Very poor quality food , Very little taste in all dishes, Poppadoms were like rubber Curry dishes tasteless. Certainly more went in the bin than was eaten. Definitely would not!! order again.
