Chipping Norton Lido — Local services in West Oxfordshire

The lido is a good outdoor swimming pool with a small slide and a sunbathing area. There's even a small cafe like building where you can get out the sun, buy ice-cream, sweets, refreshments and many other sweet treats!!!! I'm only a teen so obviously it's an amazing place for me to hang out with friends. Diving is allowed and there are floats and you can even bring your own swimming equipment!! You can get membership, too, which is what iv'e done. The changing rooms are a little shameful as there aren't many changing cubicles, but there are two showers- which people can't be bothered to use anyway.

But it's still fun!! After all, it's all about the fun not the hygiene, right? OK maybe hygiene counts, but come along and have some FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Would have loved to swim but no hoist for wheelchair users. The cafe served lovely food and drinks. Very expensive just to sit in my wheelchair ♿️ viewing £5 only reason was no disabled changing rooms, toilets or accessible hoists to use. I doubt that an able bodied person would have to ask for a room gi change and wee also a ladder to enable them to get in either. The only saving grace was the staff lady in reception was very kind as she also seemed to be organising everyone else. Usual 2 brooding life guards with their mirror specs on hoping not to have to move. For those able new loungers on grass and picnic area under cover. Please think of your other potential customers though make all areas accessible and swim areas easy use for...

Came to the Lido today at around 13:00 and already full! Went to ask if the wait was going to be long and was told that they had no clue. The Lido DOES NOT ACCEPT OXFORDSHIRE AUTISM CARD ALERT!!! Please be aware! That does break my heart because it shows how people have NO understanding, NO clue of children with disabilities. I really think the lady thought I just wanted to jump the queue! In the meantime she did not see how my little 4 year old boy reacted when we left! Meltdowns (physical towards me). This how my little boy reacts.
