Ordered takeaway lamb masala. Got a very sickly sweet masala even though I was informed that masala was supposed to be sour and sweet (maybe a bit spicy), this was just unbelievably sweet. They were kind for accommodating my takeaway order at 10:30 though but it still doesn't excuse the wrong taste of the dish + dry meat even though it was slathered w sauce. Also somehow the masala is incredibly vibrant fake red? Just feels like coloring since I'm not tasting a lot of the spices that should be there. Rice was ok atleast. Dinner was spoiled to say the least and I could not eat beyond a few bites.

Avoid this place unless you are happy with poor quality food. Not worth it! All the 5 stars are a lie or are fake. We had a group of 6 of us on a monday evening to get the £13.50 deal. We ordered our food only to wait nearly an hour for our food! To be more confusing we were the only people in the restaurant... Then when we did get our food, which I ordered the butter chicken, it was so sweet! Like they added sugar to the dish. It was not good! It feels like a Indian place where it is far past its prime. Avoid this place unless you are happy with poor quality food.

Want to find some Asian food in Chippy. There are two choices: one is Thai and the other is Indian. I want the latter one this time. This is Friday night. The restaurant is almost full. We are lucky to have a table without any prior reservation. Food is good besides the lamb curry. Too chewy. My recommendation will be the starter, a selection of Indian snacks, and also the tandoori chicken. Both yummy!

CURRY FROM HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We visited chipping Norton for 2 nights and it was our first time in the area. We ordered a delivery from spice of India as reviews looked good. After over an hour it was delivered, and honestly it was the worst Indian we have ever had… all 4 extremely watery and sugary curries were horrendous, the popadoms were stale and I wouldn’t even feed it to my dog. One of the curries was meant to be lamb…. we couldn’t actually work out what it was but it definitely wasn’t lamb. After mentioning it to the lovely lady at our campsite, she kindly went out of her way and called them to ask about this. The person that worked at the Indian asked us to call them or pop in, so we did as we were in town… they then said they had ‘no cash’ for a refund even though we paid cash and tipped them for it when it was delivered, as well as telling us they much prefer cash on delivery… instead they offered us £15 worth of alcohol which they told us was worth £60 as ‘compensation’..this review is more for anyone that is visiting chipping Norton and fancies a curry, I would never recommend spice of India, we were all ill the next day, and the food was -1/10… DO NOT ORDER...

AVOID - Appalling service & restaurant quality.

I ordered a take-away for 2 people in the evening on 27th July 2022. The food was delivered but one of the dishes was missing.

I called the restaurant and was told that (1) I was lying and that all the dishes were definitely provided as part of the order; and (2) the restaurant policy was not to provide partial refunds and that I was required to return all the dishes in order to receive a refund (they said that I could leave all the food outside the house and the restaurant would pick it up and provide a full refund).

Next day - the food had not been picked up. I called up the restaurant and spoke to the same person as the previous day. He said that actually the restaurant had changed their mind and decided not to pick-up the food and would therefore not provide a partial or full refund. He said that I was welcome to drive to the restaurant (5+ miles) and discuss in person with the owner. He then stated that he was not interested in discussing further and...

Have been getting curry from here from years. A mix of eating in and takeaway. Yesterday was a takeaway. Korma, chicken tikka and something from the specials menu. Each was delicious and very much an individual dish.

Some of the negative comments reflect i think more an ignorance of curry than this lovely, family run curry house. Shocking news for some but curries vary from region to region and from family to family. Yes there's a sweeter twist to some of the curries. Maybe then don't ask for curries that tend to sweetness anyway. Ask for advice when choosing what to eat.

Please also treat the staff kindly. I've seen some incredibly rude customers here. We've always had nothing but kindness and good...
