The Old Mill Coffee House & Bistro — Restaurant in West Oxfordshire

It's rare that one is surprised by a burger to the extent that one is moved to pass comment. And, were it simply a case of an exceptional burger, I might have foregone the effort.

However, our experience in visiting the Old Mill Coffee House was such a positive one, that not to spread the word would be depriving others of the possibility of enjoying a cafe where the quality of the fare was exceeded only by the excellence of the service and speed of delivery.

Our party of six simply needed fuel to help in replacing energy expended in packing a moving lorry and having wandered into Chipping Norton, the Old Mill was the first "eatery" we encountered. Shown to a table, the service was swift, friendly and efficient, our chosen beverages arriving without delay. In keeping with our initial service, our food order was taken and subsquently delivered in double quick time, but at no point were we hurried by the professional staff.

I ordered their hand produced Texan burger and have no hesitation in declaring it, without doubt, the best I've ever had.

All of our meals were of exceptionally high quality and, as stated previously, was only bettered by the excellence of the service and surprisingly low prices.

The Old Mill Coffee House is a gem and we would not hesitate to recommend a visit to anyone who appreciates good food, wonderful service and excellent...

"The Old Mill Café and Bistro", Chipping Norton, UK

We decided to have a few days in the Cotswolds. After arriving in Chipping Norton we visited the town and discovered a fabulous independent, The Old Mill Café and Bistro. Although they were busy, we were attended to and served quickly. There is a covered garden area for brighter days. The menu has a good variety of choice options, plus it is licensed to sell alcohol. Our choice was Cottage Pie and salad, on our 2nd visit we had homemade salmon and crab fishcakes and salad both dishes were oh so tasty, as I had hoped. The apple pie and custard were fabulous. Our waiters were very friendly and efficient. The decor has wood panels and paintings, making for an interesting ambiance. Plus there is free WiFi. The loos were spotless, with baby change facilities. Altogether a most enjoyable visit, we will be back. Thank you so much.

A truly wonderful spot for lunch in Chipping Norton!

The atmosphere is amazing — cozy and peaceful with lovely acoustic vibes inside. We enjoyed sitting in the garden surrounded by beautiful olive trees, which made the experience even more special.

The staff were super friendly and attentive, and the owner, Selahattin, personally came over to chat with us, making us feel very welcome and comfortable.

The food was fantastic! The cake was amazing, and the hot chicken salad was a real highlight. They also serve a lovely English breakfast, plus homemade traditional favourites like soups, lasagna, spaghetti bolognese and more….

Also, it’s a very kid-friendly place relaxed, welcoming, and with plenty of space for little ones to enjoy the garden while you unwind.
