Yesterday on Good Friday we did our shopping all these has always been our primary place for grocery shopping we’ve always been happy with the quality of the food we’ve gotten in the customer service. However yesterday part of our purchase was two large packages of chicken breasts dated for the 16. Of April. After getting home with the chicken 10 minutes after checking out I’ll begin to break down the chicken for portioning. To discovere that the meat Was spoiled and smelled horrible today I went back to the store with the receipt and the chicken I was told it was policy that I could not get a refund for the rotten meat that I purchased from their store and they would not replace the meat we have tried getting a hold of higher ups or customer service unsuccessfully my family spends roughly $2000 a month and product from your grocery store we were treated rudely we weren’t asking for anything other than an exchange of meat for something that wasn’t spoiled or our money back and we were rudely told it was against policy no one was willing to help us or even seemed to care that we had been...
Read moreDecent selection of products and the place is kept clean. The only thing that annoys me is how they have the store set up like a maze, you have to walk in a certain direction the whole time. They made me mad though because I applied for a job and didn't get hired, for reasons I felt that were unfair. The manager conducts a group interview (which I hate group interviews in the first place because you're automatically being judged up against other people), you take turns naming what experience you have, but then he separates the group, asks a question, then sits back and observes the interviewees talking/having a discussion about the topic. I don't see how that had anything to do with choosing who to hire. I didn't get the job (surprise surprise), but I think it was the weird nature of the interview and my education level. At the time I was an undergrad attending Harford Community College. My best advice: don't apply here if you're a college student. Guess they want people who plan on being cashiers forever eye roll Store might be okay for groceries but it's...
Read moreI shop at this Aldi location regularly. Usually, I don't have any complaints.
Today there were a few "issues".
The carts: they aren't sanitized by the staff. Inside the foyer area they do supply some wipes. This process is out of order. If you have the misfortune to grab a cart contaminated with "the virus", that can't be good. Obviously, the answer is to have the wipes outside next to the carts. The best solution would be to have the carts separated and have them sprayed with disinfectant. However, it's not likely Aldi's will devote an employee for this task.
The 10 lb bags of potatoes: almost every bag had rotten potatoes. The odor was overpowering and gnats had taken over this area. I mentioned it to the cashier, so hopefully he followed up and these were removed.
Several regular items were not available today. No point in itemizing them.
In conclusion, I would like to stress that today was probably an aberration. Usually, I have had good experiences shopping at...
