I had been going to the Ginger Court restaurant for years until they closed. The workers who worked there opened up the Asian Market on Great Road which is now known as Mei Ya Asian grocery.- they had very very good beef Chow fun. I went into the Mei Ya Asian Market on December 31 2024 and with the help of a man fluent in Chinese and English, I ordered the Beef Chow Fun to bring with me to a new years Eve party. I was excited to bring this disk as my son truly was craving it! No, we did not even eat it- it tasted like burnt plastic!!! I will never go into this place again as they have ruined the dish..I dont know if they did it on purpose as I had to order it gluten free which I have done for years!!!! I hope I will be able to get my money back as it was not edible whatsoever! Do no go to this place and expect the great caliber of food that they started with, as it has deteriorated immensely! ...

Under new ownership and it’s greatly improved! Products and prices are much better and it’s wonderful to see this much needed Asian market in Acton. Super clean and organized, it will be great to see it develop into a full grocery with more produce. They will also be continuing the restaurant/takeout section. There were some hot food options and an extensive homemade dumpling section. A lot of packaged products did not contain nut and sesame allergens which I appreciate! I loved that they’re carrying Korean, Japanese and Chinese brands and starting a health and beauty section, hope there will be more skincare and cosmetics!

Very generous and open minded owners. We are rod & reel fishermen based out of Cape Cod, and they recently agreed to take our fish to sell to customers. Very easy to work with, and now our line-caught fish are for sale in their display case! All within 24 hours of being caught

Great inventory, much better variety of items to get. Reasonable prices as well, I was very pleasantly surprised to see the amount of dumplings they sell.

One of the things that brings me to this market in the past was the fresh food section- they have a decent selection in the fresh foods, but I was slightly disappointed that they don't make BBQ pork in house. I hope that with it being early days, they are still trying to find their footing, and that they will start doing more roast meats in stores, as I remember that it was something where people lined up for.

I asked staff and they told me due to new ownership they don't do it in house, which I completely understand, I just hope they can consider doing it...

It is what it is. There aren't many Asian grocers of this caliber in this area so it's what we have out here in Acton. Yesterday I called to ask if they have bamboo steamer trays and the answer was yes so I went down there and as it turns out they were out of stock. So that was a waste of time. I need gluten-free stuff sometimes it's hard to find gluten-free Hoisin and gluten-free Tamari. They do carry these things but I buy soy sauce in a large container which they don't carry here. I have asked if they would carry it and they said no. I will continue to waste my time going here because I live nearby but I have a much better...
