I'm always excited to go to Rapscallion in Acton. Last visit the Poutine, bacon wrapped scallops, Korean BBQ Grilled Cheese and Tiramisu were all hits. This time the Brined and Smoked Wings Burrata topped with crispy prosciutto and balsamic glaze Charcuterie Board, Bolognese over Penne, Flat Iron Steak. Great ambiance inside the restored farmhouse where DropKick Murphy lived. If you’re driving too quickly you might not spot this hidden gem. I can’t believe I’ve lived in the area for as long as I have and this restaurant was new to me. Located in Acton, MA, it offers a very unique feel where comfort fusions amazingly with the traditional. Although I do not know much about the history of the location of Rapscallion, you notice that they kept the “homey” feel of the original house. The architecture is there and they make great use of it offering private rooms for your party. We were in a large group on a Thursday evening, without a reservation, and we’re able to be accommodated, but I’d suggest you call in advance and ask about having a reservation. The set up indoors was perfect! Service was awesome! Our group tried and shared a variety of apps and main dishes and ALL the food was absolutely delicious! I know this may be seasonal, but if you can try the lobster grilled cheese, please do! I’ve never had anything like it before, and the truffle Brussels sprouts melt in your mouth. I certainly plan to go back in different seasons to try new things and hope our favorites remain available.

I give the benefit of the doubt only once. A bit of background: Last year, I took my family (party of nine) for dinner at this establishment. After eating and ordering desert and all, I asked for the bill. The bill came and the wait person brought me the credit card machine with the Tip choices on top. I chose 20% and paid and er all left. Later I was thinking that the bill was more than I expected and then I thought—perhaps they charge me service upon which I also tipped. All in all a 40% tip. That was my bad for not having properly checked the bill and I take responsibility. This year, we went back—same party of nine— and had lunch. This time around I checked the menu where with the smallest font possible it indicated that there will be a 20% surcharge for party of six or more. Once we were done, I asked for the bill and the wait person, again, brought me the credit card machine with the choices of tip right in top, placed the machine in front of me and left… no word of warning about the 20% charge already on the bill. I check the bill and in fact a 20% surcharge was added. I think if you are going to charge extra—which I can tolerate — it is incumbent upon you to tell your customer that a 20% surcharge has been Mae—just so the customer is aware in case they have not studied the menu form top to bottom including the very fine print I think it would be courteous to do so and failing to do tat it appear like an active effort to mislead and take advantage of a customer who perhaps was too preoccupied with friends and convention to do a study of the bill and/or the menu. I don’t care if your food is good and cooked to the proper temperature I don’t care if you brew your own beer and I don’t care if overall the food is good. I dislike being maneuvered. Further—I had ordered a side of fries which came very late at the end of our meal… I sent it back because it was too late and they still charged me for it. Really… for $4? Anyways if you are going to this establishment make sure you are on your toes and study all written material because you are on your own and if you make a mistake no one will be tell you otherwise.

I came today, Mother’s Day, and it was quite busy. I waited alone for maybe 10 min, ready to leave, before a server came and apologized for the wait (breathing as if she was in a rush, and asking another server: “do you know how many more reservations we have tonight?!”) while simultaneously reaching almost into my face to put something on a stand behind my head (the servers kept the crayons and kids coloring pads and such on the stand my chair was up against, but it opened to the walkway, and everyone else was reaching for things from the other side. This woman just reached right at my head and past me to put something on it!) I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, which means I’m quite fragile (like brittle bone, but my ligaments and not my bones). I get SO anxious when people come into my personal space, and for someone to reach such that if I had not tensed and moved my body they would have bumped right into me?! I placed an order with her, which is what she was asking me to do, but when she left and I caught my breathe, I realized I couldn’t stay. I was tense and anxious. I told the front staff I couldn’t stay. I was having a panic attack. I got up and left. I get that Mother’s Day is busy. Whether I wanted to wait or not, I could understand it, given how busy it was,as long as people are calm and Courteous. It may seem small, but reaching like that set me off, and it was rude. People with high anxiety or autism or any number of things don’t want to be touched or have their personal space invaded. I came here because there are almost no eateries in Concord and this was the closest open one, but it is pricy and was busy today. Also this happened, so I left.

Comfort food & staff/regulars who truly make you comfortable! Matt & I had wanted to try Rapscallion for awhile timing was off! Finally made it March 2022 a little too chilly for the outdoor seating. Inside was warm cozy & packed for a Friday afternoon! They greeted us immediately & found a cute high top where we still felt at the bar as we conversed with the regulars. The crab cakes were perfectly browned yet moist on the inside. The wings were crispy & juicy! Multiple sauces that come on the side which I really appreciate as I like to dip & Matt likes to douse! I believe they had about 5 options we stuck with traditional buffalo. Appetizer were so great so we moved on to sandwiches. Matt had the Korean barbecue short rib grill cheese (I had just a bite but it was melt in your mouth) I had the Turkey Panini bacon extra crispy with & extra side of the aoli which had just the right kick! Fingerling potatoes in lots of butter! Yum yum yum! OMG! So good!!! We can not wait to go back& hopefully weather permitting enjoy the outdoor seating as well! Highly recommend!!!❤️

My wife and I were in the neighborhood and decided to have a beer and something nice to eat. When I did a Google search, the Raspscallion Table and Tap came up as a strong recommendation. I ordered the honey beer after the friendly waitress offered me beer samples because I was indecisive. The place has a cozy, rustic feel. The staff are friendly and the food was amazing. The presentation was pretty as well. I had the falafel wrap with sea food haddock chowder. My lovely wife ordered the arugula salad with shrimp added on. I attached pictures for your viewing pleasure. Before we left, my wife had already mentioned that she wants to come back for one of our date nights and when we sn am away to escape the kids for a lunch date. It's definitely a place to enjoy a nice drink and quality food. Overall the ambiance is great, the quality of the food is fantastic and the price is very reasonable for this area. I strongly recommend Raspscallion Table and Tap for a lovely eating experience.
