I went into Celestial Jewelers to have a new stone set into my current engagement ring. I noticed that this shop was quite dirty, had lots of dead bugs on the floor under the cases, and many of the pieces in the cases were tarnished. The associate took my ring and stone back to the jeweler. She returned about 15 minutes later to inform me that they could do it, but that they would need to replace the head of the ring. They said it would be replaced with a similar but different head which would change the whole look of my ring. For example, my ring has double claw prongs and they didn’t have that style in stock.

She said it would cost $940 to get this done within 5 days.

I decided to go to Art Jewelers in Woodstock to get a second opinion. This shop was very bright and clean and the staff was very knowledgeable. Art Jewelers was able to do the work using my existing setting (with a slight modification to hold the stone more securely) and within the same time frame that I needed for $280 which included rhodium and polish.

My ring turned out even better than I imagined. It’s absolutely stunning. I appreciate the staff at Art Jewelers taking the time to really examine my setting and delivering exactly what I asked for.

I’m sure Celestial has a lot of happy customers but I would recommend getting a second opinion before trusting your precious jewelry with them.

I'll add one more five-star review for this place. It is outstanding. I'm not sure how you could improve on this place.

My wife's wedding ring had developed some nicks and cracks over the past decade and some change. We had taken it to several jewelers, all of whom said fixing it wasn't possible. When I came here, they had the same diagnosis as everybody else but a much different prognosis. Rob, one of the master jewelers, was excited at the chance to fix the ring up. He and Kathy explained to me everything that they would need to do and gave me a walking-out-the-door cost; no surprises. When I got the ring back a few weeks later, it was a piece of art. Really. The detail and love Rob had put into it was clear, as was his well-earned pride in his craftsmanship. The ring look even better than it did when it was first made almost twenty years ago.

This is a place that puts love into their pieces, listens to their customers, educates their customers (I can't say how much I appreciate their explanations), and does excellent work. They went on to give me some tips about cleaning the ring, and they boxed it up very beautifully.

This place is a great secret that I hope more people learn about. I wouldn't go anywhere else. If you're looking for a jewelers for whatever capacity, look no further. This place is great.

I've been married for about 3 years now. My ring was orginally purchased in California where I previously resided and after about 3 years I was missing 2 of my diamonds, one of which had already been replaced. I noticed that not only were two of my stones missing, but a chunk of the ring was gone too. It was my wedding ring so I had no plans of buying another to replace it. That's where Celestial Jewelers comes in. I brought my ring in, after being inspected I was shown and explained as to why I continued to lose stones. After being explained that my ring could be melted down, have metal added and add more diamonds to it, I was sold. It was very important to keep my original ring incorporated with my new ring. I was given a date of July 31 to pick up my ring, which was perfectly fine. So, when I got the call not even a week later that it was completed, I was surprised. I was shown an example of my ring through email, but the email could not compare to actually seeing my ring on my finger. I was in love, I mean could not stop smiling or take my eyes off it. I'm still in awe. The last thing I want to worry about is my wedding ring destroyed or missing pieces. David and the staff truly understood the value of such a sentimental piece.
