Our shopping trip to Aldi's on Cobb Parkway was less than stellar. My daughter recently had major surgery. I wanted to go shopping to get out of the house. So my grandson and I accompanied her. One of the items she picked up. Was strawberries? They were an advertised special. For 99-cents her order was well over a hundred 40 dollars. My order was $98. She had picked up three packages of strawberries. Upon checking out the cashier rang up her order. She paid and then he proceeded to tell her. That you could only have one pack of strawberries. But they were being Limited. She asked why this didn't appear in the fire. Or on the sign in front of the berries. He said he didn't know there was a small sign on the door near the entrance. She then asked to see the manager. And the young lady proceeded to tell her that she could only have one package of berries. She was quite upset none the less. So she asked her son. And also myself each purchase a package of berries for her as we had not purchased any. We went back to get the berries. Only to have the manager refuse to allow us to take them. She said she couldn't sell them to us because there was a limit of 1. I personally think this is a poor way to run a business. And I can't believe that a manager. Would allow her employee or herself to treat their customers in this manner. Especially after spending well over $200 on groceries. On top of that when we got to the front to pack our groceries as you have to do. We found. That the cashier I just kind of dumped everything in the carts. The soft stuff on the bottom the heavy stuff on top milk containers crushed. And no care for our groceries. It appears he is someone who definitely dislikes his job. In my estimation if you're going to shop at Aldis You may want to check with an employee regarding limits on any of the items listed in their sale brochures. Before getting to the cashier and having the items removed from your order. Or being embarrassed in front of the other customers. I have shopped at Kroger Publix Whole Foods sprouts and other area markets and I've never seen a customer treated like this before. I'll think twice before shopping there again. Till next time...
Read moreThis location is currently under a major construction overhaul so the parking lot is a mess. Aldi is hit or miss for food items, you can get some bargains but can't do your whole weekly shopping here. The prices on meat are high and they don't have a deli or bakery. The produce is often a good bargain but you can't always get everything you might need. They have some funky "store brands" and they are usually very cheap. The issue I have is that they usually only have one cashier open and the line is very long...it takes a while for another line to open. The cashiers are timed on how fast they ring out the customers, so they really rush you at checkout. I had to speak to a manager after one experience, I asked the cashier to slow down and he was rude and said he couldn't do that. I had a reason and tried to explain but he would not listen. I got very upset and the manager made him apologize to me. I only go to Aldi if I need produce and the other stores are too expensive, so I don't go often. If you don't mind being rushed and waiting in a long line for "no frills" groceries that you bag yourself, then Aldi will suit you. I prefer to go to Kroger or Publix, where friendly customer service is worth a...
Read moreI have been to this store a few times, and it is very filthy! The parking lot is littered with trash. The floors are dirty, the shelves are a mess, and the self checkout is really gross with smears of who knows what. I ran up to the store to buy whipped cream and lemons. The lemons were in a bag, and when I got home, one was rotten, which I was not able to see from the bag. I get this happens, but this whole store is a hot mess! The whipped cream was fine. This store needs a deep cleaning and more employees who know how to wipe things down and clean the store. I get that some people are pigs, but goodness, get more people to keep the store clean. I have been to this store roughly five times in the five years I have lived here and three of the times I feel like I have to take a shower when I leave. The sad part is that this store is walking distance from my home. I would love to walk there, but I will drive down to Walmart. It must be an area thing because the Kroger down the road...
