This was one of the most stressful shopping experiences of my life. Upon entering the store, it is clear how little they care about the dangers of a NATIONAL PANDEMIC. None of the carts were wiped or quarantined after use, and there were no wipes or hand sanitizer available to customers inside the store. Maybe 1 in 30 workers were wearing any level of PPE. There were no directions on the aisles, which led to piles of people (mostly unmasked, which is already incredibly dangerous) congregating in a single spot. Aisles and pathways were not sufficient to avoid people at the 6 feet that is suggested ANYWHERE in the store. The aisle that I chose to check out in had labels, but the customers were in no way following them (I was). The aisle directly next to mine opened up, leaving me PHYSICALLY TOUCHING the cashier in the aisle over (because once again, the aisles are so close together). None of the cashiers were wearing any sort of PPE, nor were they attempting to clean any spaces after customers touched or breathed on them. I had a 70+ man who approached after me who did not even attempt to adhere to the markings on the ground, and when I told him to back up, laughed at me. The cashier, of course, did nothing to correct the situation. At one point, it was necessary for me to bag my own groceries, while also trying to avoid everyone else (which was difficult, because no one was event attempting to social distance). As I was exiting, things were falling out of my cart. As I continued to try and correct the issue, a worker decided to get WITHIN 1 FOOT OF ME, waiting for me to finish. I indicated that I'm just trying to get out of the store and out of the way, and he also, just laughed.
While I understand you can do little to dictate the behavior of your customers, you CAN set better examples, train your staff better, and provide them and your customers with the needed tools to keep from spreading/contacting this deadly disease.
If I get the virus, it will be a direct result of this store. No where else I have visited during this pandemic has BLATANTLY flaunted the risks and consequences as this store. Whomever is in charge of training and implementation of safety protocols...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMade a pickup order the other day and got all rotten produce. I make pickup orders because I donāt have time to come into the store. I made time before work today around 8am to return and get not rotten produce. I stood at the front desk for 10 minutes with another customer. No one came so I went and got what I needed to check out. Of course only self checkout was available.
I checkout and head to the front desk where I say good morning and smile and get a smug āhelloā. I state I need to return some things and she asks if I need to go get new items to which I say no I already did that and paid because no one was up here when I first got in the store.
I guess that was the wrong thing to say because that made Heather more short and rude than she already was. Iāve never done a return at Kroger. Iāve only just started to use pick-up because Iām BUSY and trying to help coordinate my own time.
She asked for a receipt or digital receipt. I stated I usually use the computer and not the app I think I can get the receipt on this. Heather says āyeah, thatās what I meant by a digital receipt.ā
At this point Iām just completely done being in Kroger and being made to feel like an idiot because I made a remark about no one being at the front desk. She returns my few bucks from my rotten produce and I bid her a good day to which she says nothing.
Iāll probably never use pickup or this Kroger ever again. I work with customers everyday too and I know itās early and customer service is a pain, but I was already inconvenienced and I wasnāt...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUpdate I went back to this location Monday and was double charged! Donāt go here unless you want to fight for your money when itās there mistake! I ordered and was charged for a rib roast from pick up at 1:45pm to be ready by 7 for pick up. When I got to Kroger a person came out and told me the item wasnāt available. I asked why didnāt anyone tell me it wasnāt available before I drove up here? She said she called but left no message. Well why not? Had I known I wouldnāt have left my house. Then she says you will not be charged I told her I was charged I can show you where it went through my bank account. She says Iāll cancel it and you will get a refund. I said ok but guess what no refund. I called them back and she said it takes a few days for them to refund your money and gave me a number to call about it. I called the number and it was a automated system saying I received a 5.00 credit well I want all of my money back now. So I called the manager and she said it would be a few days before I get a refund. So I ask her how is this right? You didnāt have the roast and you didnāt tell me till I drove up here then I have to chase down and wait days for my money when it was krogers mistake. I spend a lot of money at Kroger and I think Iāll just go to another grocery store. This is a flawed system that needs to be fixed. Very disappointed with Kroger!...
