I had been dreading going through the process of designing, purchasing and having a headstone installed for my family member that passed away. The grief has been so great, every task has been painful, and not many people are genuinely caring/helpful while navigating through this difficult time…until now. I discovered Gifford Monument online and sent a message. I desperately needed someone that would take care of everything for me, since I live in a different state. The next day, Gail called me, and basically held my hand throughout the entire process. She went above and beyond by sending me stone options that were on sale, was thorough in asking about any and all details that were important to me and my family member to make sure everything was exactly as I had envisioned, and she sent photos of the design process from beginning to end (including the install at the cemetery). Gail made this dreaded task so much easier and was so wonderful to work with, that I also ended up buying another headstone for more family members. She continued to help with the design and final install for this one as well. I also want to note that Gail and the Gifford team had both headstones quoted, designed, engraved and installed in less than a month!! I have had the privilege of working with the staff at Gifford Monument, and every interaction has been both pleasant and insightful. I had no idea how many thoughtful elements go into selecting and designing a monument for a loved one, and the team guided me through each step with care. I was amazed at the variety of custom features available to create a meaningful and lasting tribute.

What stood out most to me was how genuinely the staff cares about helping families find closure while creating something that will honor their loved one for generations. I especially appreciate the option of adding a photo, allowing anyone who passes by to connect a face with the name and memory.

I came in and found the headstone I wanted so I put $500 down and made monthly payments until it was paid off. They had my name on it to mark it sold. I had it paid for within a year. I went in and paid the last payment and thought it was all set to be done and set up in 30 days. Well I received a call a week later telling me they had sold my headstone to someone else. I was very upset because the one I paid for was discontinued and I couldn't even order another one. So I had to settle for a different one, which is pretty but not as pretty as the one I actually ordered. I can say even after the ordeal they got it done and set up within a couple of weeks. They also put the family name on back for free. I am still unhappy about the whole situation...
