In July 2020, our family lost our mother unexpectedly. As our family processed our grief, we knew we wanted to honor our mother in a way that was not only unique but lasting for generations to come. That’s where International Diamond, Adrian came into the picture. This company has an exceptional reputation of not only quality work but phenomenal customer service. We met with Chuck and his team to discuss options. We all decided that we wanted to have rings made that were almost identical. We decided on a style of ring, that was the easy part for Chuck and his team, as he had a great selection in stock. We decided that we wanted our mother’s fingerprint on the exterior of the ring, we also wanted some of mom’s ashes placed into a bored hole in the ring. This request was not so easy. Chuck and his team set out to figure out how to fulfill our request. Chuck met with several other jewelers to discuss options. This process took a few weeks, but we appreciated the fact that they wanted to make sure they figured out how to make our wishes a reality, without costing us an arm and a leg, as a note, we never gave Chuck a price range, we just shared our wishes. Chuck was the one who took cost into account. He was looking out for us without being asked. That is true professionalism. Chuck called us several times during the process to keep us apprised of the status of his conversations, the status of the rings and the time frame for completion of the rings. Chuck was almost as excited as we were when he called us to tell us they, the collective designers and jewelers had come up with a solution. He cared about taking care of us as customers and honoring our mother. He knew that these rings would be passed down from generation to generation. When the rings were ready for pick up, we held a video call, because we all live in different states, so we could see them at the same time. The rings were beautiful. Chuck and his team exceeded our expectations a thousand times over. I have included photos of the finished rings to show the quality of their work. I am a discriminating buyer and I shop around intensely before making a buying decision. I try to educate myself on benefits and features of anything I buy. I rarely suffer from buyers remorse due to this. I purchased a Platinum engagement ring with just under a Karat round "princess" cut diamond. The ring is stunning. It was priced at just under six grand but I was happy to pay. I recently, (last weekend) went to price out selling some gold pieces I purchased. The items were various but had all been verified solid gold by other appraisers. Now begins the interesting part. The two twenty somethings that greeted me at the counter were extremely out of their element. Watching them try to convince me that the items were not gold was a bit interesting...One of the antique pocket watches built in 1911 was solid 14karat gold, with eight diamonds in the face. I was told maybe I had $200.00 dollars in gold. And the diamonds upon her holding them up to the light were definitely cubic zirconia. Well the sad part is, I have had the ring appraised three other times and was told upon testing that the diamonds were real, albeit not incredibly valuable due to size, but none the less they were real. Second the watch weighs just less than an ounce totally broken down to the case, no crystal and timepiece removed. I am very disappointed with the lack of honesty and integrity in this transaction. I highly recommend International Diamond and Gold. We had shopped around at jewelers locally, online and in both Ann Arbor and Toledo. We truly struggled to find the ring that she was in love with. Then we went to International Diamond and Gold and Chuck Jacobson helped us. They have rings that are ready to go out the door, but he was also willing to hear what it was that we liked and gave me the option of having it specially made. MY fiance picked a few different rings that she liked and he kept the reason why behind each ring. When I was ready, he and I worked on a budget and he ordered the diamonds so I could choose "the one." After choosing the diamond, he sent it all off and in a couple short weeks I was able to pick up exactly what I wanted. My fiance and I both said that there wasn't another place that made us feel as comfortable as we did at International Diamond. Chuck was incredible during the process. I felt confident in my decision-making and I was ecstatic when I received it. I proposed on September 22, 2019 and she absolutely loved the ring.
