CVS — Local services in Aitkin

If mark were the pharmacist there everyday along with Kayla for the tech- I’d give this place 5 stars. However, there is a new pharm tech there- who talked to me like I was just an annoyance and like I was an idiot. She rolled her eyes at me more than one, did not let Janet the pharmacist know I had a question for her, and ended up helping someone else who came in after me! I waited there for half an hour because I was out of a medication that I need- only to find out she couldn’t fill it. But, when mark is there, he is able to fill the same rx for me while being very nice pleasant. I have now been without my medication for a week, no one has contacted me about the issue and I even had my provider send in the new rx. Also, my dr sent an rx for Allegra D. My insurance wouldn’t cover it, so janet said I could buy the 30 tabs over the counter instead. So I agreed to this, wondering how it was going to be possible because mn has regulations where you can only buy one box of 10 per person at a time, but I thought maybe since I have the rx it would be different. The pharm tech begins to ring them up- the first box rings up just fine- then when she does the second one an error pops up regarding mn regulations. Janet comes over and asks me if I have purchased this med recently- I said yes- 2 weeeks ago. She said I couldn’t purchase it again. I asked how that was even possible since the box has 10 tabs in it and it’s been 2 weeks since I bought it. She shrugged her shoulders and said “it’s the state- nothing we can do about it.” Ok- even I know more than one box can’t be purchased at a time. If she didn’t know this- there’s a major problem. If she did- she was being too lazy to explain it to me and help me with the alternatives. Very rude and unprofessional. I didn’t even try to explain what I knew about it (mark explained it to me once before) because I was sick of being treated like a total idiot. I left there extremely irritated. I just visited this store, and I will never be a patron at any CVS ever again. My prescription is a rather tricky one to get filled, and my visit to CVS was no different than my visit to any other pharmacy in that regard. The inability of the pharmacist to fill my prescription is not why I am writing this today though. I was told that it was ordered, or at least an attempt was made to order it, and that my prescription was so unusual that it did not arrive with the regular order. What makes me angry is that I dropped my script off on Sunday, and the pharmacy found out on Friday but did not call me or let me know. Why would CVS even have the option to order the medication if they are not even sure if it will even arrive with their order? Walgreens is a scummy company too, just like CVS, but at least they will call you to tell you that they were not able to get the script. I was told that it would arrive this weekend and that I would receive a call; which I never did. Now I am going to be out of my medication which could put me in the hospital. I was told by the staff to try Walgreens in Brainerd, but I do not have enough money to drive all the way down there now when I was JUST IN BRAINERD ON FRIDAY. Unbelievable. Drive 40 minutes to get my prescription and every time I go there I have to come back the next day and on top of it I need my medication they do not have their stuff together at this location whatsoever very disappointed . Was getting better but now again today new lady was very rude!!!! Will be changing places if she is still there for long . No one needs an attitude when they call to refill a prescription . 1 year now I’ve had nothing but them trying to make life hard . No one should be stressed out when comes time to refill there prescriptions, and rite before the holidays they do it again . 2025 Christmas. I would stay far away from this place . Merry Christmas to everyone and do your self a favor this pharmacy is a joke , go somewhere else for your prescription. Janet need to be fired . No one should be able make life hard on people.
