After two years of coming to this salon, I’ve never felt more unheard — or more insecure about my hair and my ability to speak up during an appointment.
During my most recent visit, I was explicitly discouraged from giving input on what I liked or wanted to preserve. I was told, flat-out, not to share my preferences — as if my opinion didn’t matter. I was silenced with an attitude I didn’t deserve.
To make matters worse, the tone of my blonde was changed without any consultation. No conversation. No check-in. No consent. Just done. I came in for a touch-up, trusting things would be maintained — instead, I left with a completely different color. My roots don’t even blend with the rest of my hair. It’s just… off. I look in the mirror and want to cry. My confidence is gone.
Stylists should work with their clients — not over them. Good hair isn’t just about technical skill; it’s about collaboration, trust, and listening. That didn’t happen here.
There’s no excuse for a salon, especially one I once trusted, to make a client feel so dismissed. I left that appointment feeling small, disrespected, and deeply disappointed. And now, on top of repairing the damage, I have to rebuild my trust in stylists altogether — because I’m genuinely afraid of being spoken down to like that again.
It’s a shame. I had grown to love the others at this salon — they’ve always been kind. I used to recommend this place to anyone who complimented my hair. But after this, I’ll be taking my business elsewhere — and I’ll be encouraging others to...
Read moreMy friend went there and had an amazing experience and said I should give them a Try so I Went there back in may and specifically told the hair stylist I wanted face framing layers, but to keep my length as long as possible, and to only do a trim and only cut the front to frame my face because I had a history or my hair getting cut too short. At the end of the cut she had cut way more then I wanted (about 6 inches) and I had no layers whatsoever despite that I paid went home my friends convinced me to call and go back to see if there was anything she could do … In order to give me layers my hair had to be cut even shorter in some places She claims she has been doing hair for over 20 years. Her work did not reflect that my layers were severely uneven and I’ve been unhappy with my hair for months. I finally worked up the courage to go to a stylist yesterday at a different salon and get my hair cut and I was able to see just how terrible the layers were. I keep my hair up all the time because of it but when he took my hair down and showed me, it looks like I’ve got two different layers of hair So now I’m gonna speak out against my experience because I called and Spoke to somebody about how I was upset about my cut weeks after the cut and asked to speak to a manager or the owner and nobody ever...
Read moreI’m usually very anxious when it comes to trying new salons because you never know what you are signing up for. But my mother in law recommended this place and specifically Ash. My trust in her was certainly not misplaced. I did try one place before coming here and needless to say they did not do what I wanted nor were they organized. When I came here it was a night and day difference! Everyone here is so nice and down to earth and easy to communicate with. They believe in the integrity of your hair which I’m absolutely here for! Anyways I’m sure pictures should do my lengthy raving some justice. I included the before pictures as well which isn’t bad but again not what I was going for vs now I’m...
