The receptionist needs to be replaced. The patients level of care should not be determined by the mood of a receptionist. My 16year old has gone to every appointment on base alone. Well child check, womens heath, and immunizations, as the age of medical consent in NM is 14. When I take her I am left in the lobby as she is old enough to consent to her medical care. Even with my younger children as young as 11 at the end of their appointments I am asked to leave so they can speak to my kids alone. Today, the receptionist decided that my 16yo cannot check herself into her own appointment. She instead needs a parent. So my self and my two babies are in the parking lot waiting on my husband to come help with a flat tire. Once he arrives, I go inside to check her into her appointment. It was 14 minutes past her appointment time. We arrived at 10:27 for a 10:40appointment. The receptionist spent 15 minutes arguing back and forth with a teenager about whether or not she actually had gone to past appointments alone. She even went as far as to look up her past appointments and argue with her about when she had her well child check. When I went into the clinic we were told to sit and theyâd be with us shortly. We were then told it is 15 minutes past her appointment time and they have a 10 minute window, therefore we can wait another hour and a half for the next appointment today (12:20)or reschedule. There was not a single person in the lobby. The appointment was just to get a referral to a dermatologist for acne. So because the receptionist decided she wouldnât check in our 16yr old, her appointment was âmissedâ. What a waste of our time and the militaryâs time. We drove 30 minutes for the appointment for no reason at all, my daughter even provided them with my number to call me and ask me to come inside, which they did not do. Getting a referral could easily be done over the phone, however they decided she needed to be seen in person because now as a teen she has acne, but they have no record or indication in the past that points to her, a teenager, needing a dermatologist. What a joke. Even with a referral this town has few medical resources. If you can avoid this base, do so at all costs. Called the medical group line to talk to a patient advocate, hahaha they have a prompt to press 5 to speak to an advocate. After pressing five there is no other option to connect you with a medical advocate. Does this base...
Read moreI was hoping that building a new clinic would mean better service, but I was wrong. It's impossible to get a flu shot at the clinic even though I'm high risk due to being asthmatic. They just try pawning me off on Walmart to get my flu shot. They treat me like I'm expendable because I'm not active duty. Then, when I try to schedule a mammogram, they ask me why I want it. What the hell kind of stupid question is that?! Then yesterday, I got a pap smear, since my last one was a few years ago. The women's health doctor had her assistant perform the pap, and I felt like a guinea pig, because she couldn't get it right. Then, the Lt. Colonel tried it, and she didn't do any better. She also caused some internal bleeding. I had major anxiety going in there, and I was in a lot of pain. Then, I tried talking to her about getting on a low dosage of hormone replacement therapy in hopes of reducing my post menopause belly fat and help me cope with my mild depression. She was talking too fast, and I couldn't process anything she said. She acted like my unsuccessful pap smear was my fault for tensing up. She was very unprofessional and condescending. Whenever I try scheduling an appointment, there's never anything available, and having asthma automatically makes me a high risk patient. Nobody there seems to care one way or the other. I tried calling patient advocacy to file a complaint about the lack of care I received, and all I ever get is their voicemail. This may be a brand new clinic, however, customer care has gone completely downhill. Tricare has no problem taking out our hard earned money for insurance, but nobody wants to help us when we need it. The only thing I like about this clinic is the...
Read morePediatric Dr. Mills lacks bedside manners. Not maternal at all, just a typical scientist doing checklist symptoms and doesnât attempt to go extra mile and engage with patients.
I came for her to see my infant that was sick, and after a quick assessment she said âHe has deal with itâ. Since it was 3 minutes in, I had asked her if she could see my 3 year old who woke up ill that morning and she had the nerve to say âI donât have time to see your other kidâ. THAT is not a Doctor. That is a licensed scientist there for a paycheck. Any caring doctor who had LEFTOVER time out of my 15 minute window would have gone and above to check a sick kid.
This clinic is âalwaysâ under staffed and no one ever knows whatâs going on or how to do things properly.
I hope Trump signs a bill that enough complaints warrant dismissal/discharge from the military too. Had it with federal workers coming in to look pretty and...
