We had an INCREDIBLE time at Alaska Spruce Cabins. Firstly, Terra expertly coordinated rescheduling our booking dates from May to August when COVID case numbers were rising and we were afraid of being exposed to it. Prior to our arrival, she gave us advice on (1) what was Alaska’s most recent guidance on non resident entry and how we should prepare (2) Exact instructions for how to reach/enter the cabin (3) Budget friendly recommendations for groceries/activities/restaurants .||||Secondly, the cabin itself was very clean when we arrived, with a bottle of Odoblast left for us to disinfect our belongings as often as we needed. The beds were very comfortable, with lots of soft linens and extra towels available. Each cabin had a beautiful patio and a handmade wooden picnic bench for us to take in the scenic mountain views. Each cabin also had its own parking space. Denali Visitor Center was a short 15 minute drive from the cabin so we could go hiking/biking in the park, but still have some privacy from the majority of tourist foot traffic.||||Thirdly, Terra and her father Doug were very helpful and friendly to us during our stay. They showed us how to use the outdoor grill when we wanted to try grilling, built a fire in their fire pit for us, shared some of their experiences on what it’s like to live in Alaska and even gave us some of their home-made kombucha!!!||||I’d whole heartedly recommend Alaska Spruce Cabins to anyone wanting to visit Denali National Park and Preserve. Not only were the facilities excellent and well maintained, but Terra and Doug’s hospitality really made it seem like a home away from home. Thanks so much...
Read moreCute little cabin that's well maintained and 15 min from the Denali Bus Depot. The Healy coffee shop (Alaskan Coffee Bean), 49th Brewing, and other amenities are 3-min away.
It's clean, comfy, and warm -- it was low 40s in Healy when we stayed in early Sep. Not musty, old, or overpriced like the accommodations at Denali Village. Quite glad I found this place.
It's self check in and out. Never met the owner during our entire stay but they give their mobile number and are on the property if you need them.
The bed is a little soft if you like the mattress firm, but the bath towels are more plush and white (felt new!) than most 4 & 5-star hotels I've stayed at. There's a kettle, utensils, and pots and pans.
Downsides: The cabin sleeping area feels a little tight with 3 full size luggages. The shower curtain needs to be changed and has mildew and mold marks. We had the end cabin and couldn't get...

The cabins were excellent and each one had its own patio, handmade picnic bench and parking space. It was super easy to get to Denali Visitor Center from here (15 mins) and to grocery stores (3 mins) and restaurants (10 mins). Check in and check out process was contact less. Terra and Doug even showed us how to operate the outdoor grill when we wanted to grill.
This is a great location for folks who want to visit Denali, but also want a bit of privacy away from tourist traffic. I’d rate it higher than five...
