Healy Best Asian Food To Go — Restaurant in Alaska

The food was absolutely delicious. If this place was at home, I'd definitely stop by again -- BUT the previous reviews about language issues did affect our visit. Ultimately, they did make things right, but it took more arguing than I would have thought given we did ask for sweet and sour chicken with sauce on the side. It's still cash only as of June 2025 (ATM inside).

The orange chicken was a touch spicy for our 12 year old, which was a little surprising, but I found it very flavorful and would personally order it for myself again.

The Mongolian beef was really tasty, as were the lo mein noodles.

So, after waiting until the end of the Denali season, I finally tried this place. I walk by it almost every day on the way to the post office. My last day off, and I got a post office box key deposit refund, so I thought, why not? I ordered the Pork Pad Thai off of a very full menu of amazing choices. It says take out, but they have plenty of seating inside and outside on the deck with a beautiful view of Mount Healy. The portion was very generous. It was hot and tasted so fresh. Great flavors in the delicious Pad Thai. I ate the entire thing. I'm just sorry I waited so long to try this restaurant. The restaurant had very fast and extremely friendly service. When I read the reviews before purchasing food here I was surprised by how many positive reviews were there! Now I can see why. The food quality, taste and quantity were awesome. My wife ordered Tom Yum and I have Kung Pao chicken. The taste was delicious and not overpowering. Even the fried rice was done differently compared to other chinese restaurants. It was more tasty and complimented the food well. Don't be deceived by the location and the ambience. They also ask for cash only. To find great Asian food in a remote place like Healy is blessing.
