A true Alaskan gem!

We absolutely loved our visit to The Alaskan Coffee Bean! The coffee was spot on—smooth, balanced, and clearly crafted with care. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for lingering and chatting with our group. We ended up staying a while just soaking it all in.

The shop also had the cutest little gifts. I picked up a beautiful ornament for our Christmas tree and was blown away to find something as unique as glacier water soap! Such thoughtful, local treasures.

Best of all, we got to chat with the owners—genuinely kind, welcoming, and hard-working people. You can feel the love they pour into their place. It's a small business run by locals who truly care about providing a great experience for both residents and travelers.

Can’t recommend this place enough. Make it a stop if you're...

It is a nice family owned kinda coffee shop which also serves food. We were a party of four and we had their salmon bagel, avocado bagel, bacon burrito. We also ordered their coffees, mocha breve, Harry Potter seasonal coffee, iced mocha and a kids hot chocolate.

Food was very good and a very nice maintained of quality. Coffees were awesome no wonder they have won the best coffee place in Denali 3 years in a row.

Atmosphere is awesome and the ladies owning the store were soft spoken and knowledgeable.

Definitely a worth place to have a grab if you are in...

This was one of very few spots to get food in March during low season. Cafe was open until 2pm, and we arrived at 1:30pm on our way to Anchorage from Fairbanks.

We ordered 2 burritos and 1 bagel sandwich. The burritos were well portioned and tasted good. We also got hot tea and a mango smoothie, both were good.

We also got some souvenirs, they had some Alaska rattle toys for kids on sale, made in USA. You can get some magnets and souvenirs while there.

There is a bathroom in the back, convenient when you travel with a small child that needs...

Great little place! Reminded me of a café I ran in Chicago. Lox bagel was on point, and the large iced latte was a definite eye opener!!! Twas a weekend treat, as I did get some pricier items. But treating one's self is worth it! Some outside seating like a picnic table would be super beneficial. Due to limited seating and being busy, but I found a quiet spot to enjoy my breakfast, it is Alaska after all! 😉

I thought $8 was expensive for a large iced cold brew coffee until I saw the size of the cup. The coffee here is delicious and fresh. They have a great looking menu. Very friendly service. I'm only sorry it took me so long to visit this shop. They also have some cool looking gifts for sale. I pass this place every time I walk to the post office. So many items to come back and try.
