This was my first time using thud tow company, Jeff was the guy who came and picked my car up, which they squeezed me in after all ready being slammed. They were also early to meet and pick up the car. Which was an added bonus from the time Jeff arrived to pick up my car he was hands down more professional just in his whole approach and the extra attention given to make sure my car nor his equipment were taken care and no damage was done. Getting up in the truck to leave there was instantly a huge sigh of relief because the pride this gentlemen takes in his job was a welcome sight not just because he was towing my car, but ¹now a days workers like Jeff ate not only an assest in today's day and age. But a small company can secure 3-4 workers like this company has done. You can't do anything but prosper and flourish as a company he stated he was the big cheese the whole enchilada. Jk but when he stated he trains the other drivers when they are hired, I have seen some crappy drivers, With guys like Jeff on the job rest assured he will get your vehicle there safely but more so he will also not be one to worry about as one of his biggest concerns is safety qhichbis good to hear as my family and myself use the same roads he works on making you rest a little easier knowing that the person who hired Jeff should be proud to know you brought a valuable assest that should be more a supervisor and given a raise because workers like Jeff and the lady who answered the phone are those kinda front line of this company and that's the impression I not only got but was shown. Thank you to midnight towing for going y I and beyond in helping me last minute with my situation, and thanks Jeff for taking that extra care you thjnknmight not be a big deal but when your like me and don't have much and you see someone take the extra time and effort to protect and care for your property in my book or my eyes that lady and seeing Jeff and the representation he displayed on behalf of midnight towing can rest assured any time in the future if I need a tow ibwill call them 1st and hope that if not Jeff the driver that does show up will be as good if not better then his trainer. Great job be safe out there and i hope the owner of this company realizes how valuable hard workers, and quality workers now a days are more then just a valuable assest they are the back bone of a company when treated as one instead of as just another body. Great company Great attitudes wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company or Jeff as your go to company for all your towing needs Be safe out on the roads and keep up...
Read moreI called a few weeks ago to have a car towed and made sure to get a quote beforehand. I made sure the key was with the car and it was brushed off, but was still quoted 100 over what I was originally told.(50 for not leaving key if I didn't, and 50 for minimal snow on the car). They call me after it's hooked up to notify me it'd be at least an additional 50 since the driver couldn't find the key directly under the seat, and the snow. When I told them I had to cancel the tow because I wasn't able to afford it and I quote "only have another 20 dollars to my name right now, I can't afford an additional 100 in fees"
The dispatcher calls back to tell me word for word "if you have that other 20 dollars we can yow it work you.
The kicker was that when the driver arrived, he told me the key isn't even needed or used during pick up, and there was no issue with the snow on the car. The dispatcher was of no help at all, the managers policies are asanine and laughable at best.
Midnight sun towing has consistently given me a terrible experience any time I have had to use their services, and lying to me about the charges they gave me is absolutely ridiculous.
Probably the worst tow...
Read moreAfter sliding into the center median on the Glenn highway in Eagle River my vehicle was towed within an hour to a yard in South Anchorage. Vehicle was picked up same day for a tow bill of $440. $240 for tow and $200 a day yard fee. Ridiculous extortion by a tow company that was never even called to tow vehicle. Went home to get tow straps and vehicle was gone within an hour. You never get this type of prompt service when you actually call a tow company for help. Their fees are ridiculous as well as towing the vehicle to their yard as far away as possible to maximize the tow fee plus add an additional $200 yard storage fee as soon as the vehicle is unloaded. To charge an additional $200 for a yard storage fee on same day vehicle is picked up is outrageous. Vehicle was in their possession less than 10 hours as it took some time for me to find out who towed my vehicle since I didn’t call to have it towed. Had to call to make arrangement for vehicle pick up and wait an additional two hours as they need a two hour in advance heads up to arrange for vehicle pickup. Extortionist practices as they know they’re ripping people off but it’s completely legal under Anchorage...
