Avenue Yarns — Local services in Albany

I stopped by this shop last week with my son. AMAZING SHOP, AMAZING YARN, AMAZING STAFF!! We were greeted as we came in the door by a young man that works in the shop. I'm sorry I didn't get his name, but he was so very helpful and NICE! The other ladies in the shop were just as helpful and reminded us to "touch" everything. There was a large table set up with quite a few ladies working on projects. Avenue yarns is in the cutest peach and creamsicle building in the most adorable neighborhood. You could spend hours petting yarn and still probably miss something. It is wonderful to see a yarn shop that is so up to date with trends on Ravelry. The only problem is that the shop is difficult to navigate in a wheelchair. Watch out! Fairly motorized or manual wheelchair accessible. No steps or curbs at all in the shop. There are a few tight spots but I got around the shop to everywhere I wanted to go. Not everything is reachable from a seated position but they are happy to assist if needed.
