Brick Circuit LEGO and Toy Store — Local services in Albany

This store has a great selection but is horribly overpriced. I understand that local/small businesses need to price things differently, but these prices are ridiculous. I went in to Brick Circuit to buy a minifigure and I knew it was worth about 2-3 dollars. They were selling it for $25 dollars and when I brought up the price discrepancy, they said they would rather have the minifig in their store as it was unique then sell it for a lower price. I offered to pay $15 which is $12 more than average and they still would not budge. Please check prices online before you purchase from here. You could very well be paying well over the going price. On another occasion I tried to trade in a set for store credit, one of the workers said to me that they could not offer me what it was worth as Albany does not have the largest Lego consumer base and having higher prices would mean they wouldn’t sell as much. Just came in, didn’t know Albany had a Lego store. Was greeted by a young employee today 3/7/22 at about Noon. He asked if I needed help I said I was just wanting to check it out. I took my time browsing and then saw that a lot of the boxes and kits don’t even have a price on them unless they are pre owned. I wanted to ask some questions but the kid disappeared into the back and didn’t seem like he was going to return any time soon as I went to leave and a new customer came in, so the guy came out because he heard the doorbell ding again. An update: the store promptly contacted me and offered a more fair price. Unfortunately I don't live in Albany and don't know when I'll be back in that area, but I'll upgrade my rating. Original: I have shopped here several times and had good experiences at the old site. I was in today and found a very small selection of bulk pieces, which I understand since they're moving. I believe a full container is about $8, but I found only a handful of pieces that barely covered the bottom of the container. She charged me by individual piece -- $4.55! What a ripoff. If I hadn't needed the pieces I would have walked out. Never going back...
