Totally worthy of a visit. We took the tour, which lasted maybe 40 minutes, but we asked a lot of questions. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the place and is history. Most historical sites of this kind have only furnishings similar to the period but this house had much of the original furnishings. The historical society has done a very good job restoring the building and keeping intact the...

Pretty neat historical house right across the post office! The house may be quaint but it has well preserved artifacts and rooms with plenty interesting things to look at. The lady working that day was also awfully nice and informative. You have the option to do a short casual or longer private tour depending on your preference. I went to historic house tour today and it was a fantastic event as always. The regional museum and Monteith house was included as well as several private buildings, several museums and of course trolley and horse cart rides. Everybody was very friendly. It is one of my favorite...
