I have lived in the St. Michael Albertville area for many many years and Iâve had my nails done here several times. I would say out of 10 times Iâve had my nails done that Iâve only been happy, truly happy about three times (And Iâm not all that picky)âŚ. Todayâs experience was no different. I went there specifically because they have carry the seashell acrylic that has the color in it there acrylic. When I chose my color, my color was completely different than the color that turned out on my hands. Itâs the middle of September, and my nails came out, bright Christmas red and so I decided to stand up for the fact that I didnât care for the color and the woman that did my nails was impatient with me, grabbing my hand roughly, digging her very sharp pointy fingernails in the tips of my nails as she filed and then the whole place proceeded to talk in their language at the top of her lungs, giggling and being loud, which makes me as a customer feel like theyâre talking badly about me âŚ. Itâs rude and insensitive as far as I am concerned! I ended up barely liking my polish and there was polish all over my skin around my fingers. Iâve been saying it the past 5 times Iâve gone to Turbo Nails, that Iâm never going back, this time I will not! They are expensive (they pressure you to pay in cash, and if you donât have cash, I have seen customers be extremely uncomfortable and offer to go to the cash machine to bring back cash), understaffed, act like your inconveniencing them unless the style/color you get is simple. They display nails that are unique but they lack the staff that has the knowledge or skill to do anything difference or unique. Most their staff speak little English so itâs hard to explain your needs. Last winter, I took my daughter there to get her nails done for the first time and she came with a picture of what she wanted for a nail color/style and even with her showing them several pictures and trying to find something they could do, only to leave with basic nails that fell off one by one within a week. When I brought her back for them to fix them, they were very rude to me and my 11 year old and she left in tears. They told that they would not fix them again after as they must have fell off because her hands were so small. I have dropped 100âs of dollars at Turbo Nails trying to support a local business, giving them chance after chance but Iâm very very done with...
Read moreI don't usually leave bad reviews. But this time I feel that I have to. I've gotten a lot of pedicures and manicures, this was my first here and it was the worst experience I've ever had. My nailtech was on a video chat with some man the entire time. My pedicure was very rushed, my feet were barely scrubbed, leaving my feet no softer than before. She angrily pulled my feet and hands in the position she wanted the entire time. And the nail polish wasn't evenly applied. Whatever, I decided it wasn't something I needed to complain about. Just a mental note not to come back. We moved on to the manicure, and my nailtech had to set up her phone in her drawer at the station so the man on her video chat could see her. I was getting acrylic nails and kept having to ask her to go shorter. She was annoyed everytime I asked. Then when my sister walked by I asked if she thought they were shorter enough. The nailtech then threw the nail clippers down angrily. Then after she applied the first set, I touched one of my nails and told her that they were sticking upward. She said she wasn't done yet. So I figured "okay, trust the process I guess." Every single nail was pointed up. They claimed it was because my natural nails were so short. But that's never been a problem for anyone else! I paid in full and came back the next day to have the owner fix them. She was very nice throughout almost the entire service. She had to take them off and completely redo the job. At the end she ended up acting annoyed, completely opposite of how she was. And my nails were still pointed up a little, nothing like I've gotten before! I think I should have gotten a full refund, but I'm not the kind of person to ask for free things. All I heard was excuses for the result instead of just...
Read moreI donât think Iâll ever go back here. I am usually so happy with my experience! Last time Amy did such a good job. I dont go often, but today It was my motherâs birthday who passed away and we would always get our nails done together, so I went to treat myself. My nails had builder gel on them and they were so nice and long and grown out. I told the nail tech that I wanted them cut down a little and still the same almond shape, they had just gotten way too long. She cut them down to stubs. I was so confused! When I asked her if we was going to add length somehow because they were way too short, she seemed upset with me. She said âyou told me to cut them downâ. I replied âyou asked if I wanted them cut down at all and I said yes a little bit and still the same shapeâ.
Instead of removing all of the old product and starting over with tips to add back my length, she tried to add length will just builder gel and it kept drooping so it was taking her like 15 min per nail.
I told her I could not stay if it was going to take that long because I had to get my kids. She seemed so upset with me and took it off. None of the employees would even make eye contact with me. I left in tears. I now have hacked off sand paper nails and no time to go...
