Not all recycling companies or centers are created equal, which is critical for customers to understand...I'm an avid recycler and did a lot of research before finding Albuquerque Recycling. I have found them to be far and away the best recycling company in Albuquerque, in fact all of New Mexico, and am now using them exclusively for my recycling of products they take. In fact, I even drove a friend's 70 lb. television set down from Durango, CO, just to recycle it with them! Why? Because they genuinely understand and care about providing a green and ethical service to people -- one that investigates every step in the recycling process to make sure that materials (especially hazardous) are dealt with in a safe and ethical way. So many recycling services and companies actually perpetuate contamination of our environment by irresponsibly dealing with recycled materials, or passing the materials along to other companies who don't follow OSHA and green protocols. I don't make a lot of money, but I actually feel good about paying for some items because I know that I can trust this company to do their very best to deal with them ethically and environmentally responsibly. I proudly...
Read moreI worked with William, and he was courteous, professional, and quick. This is an excellent place. I recommend them for anyone stuck with a broken TV. You might have to pay a few dollars for them to recycle it, but it costs them to recycle the harmful chemicals in the newer hd tvs.
Please don't use your GPS/Google to take you to 3726 Hawkins when you go because mine took me to the Napa Autoparts store. Tell the GPS/Google to take you to Albuquerque Recycling on Hawkins in Albuquerque. They are courteous and helpful, and you don't have to be stuck with a broken piece of electronics anymore. It will get you to the general area, but you have to take Hawkins from Jefferson and drive down a block or so. The sign says 'Albuquerque Recycling' in light blue, and it's an industrial park on the left. It's not far from Jefferson, off I25...
