Wanted to order a sandwich but unable to get waited on in the deli even though person knew I was there. After being ignored for a period time just got a cold burrito in the fridge case. When I explained what happened to the cashier, that I couldn't get waited on, they didn't seem to care. When I asked if they had a microwave he said, "in the deli". I told him I already tried that route. So I ate my burrito cold. Obviously I'll live but kinda of annoying neither the deli person or the cashier seem to care about customer service. They also don't post any prices on their sandwich board making one have to ask for each price. Making one hate to put anymore on the deli person than they apparently already have to do. Been shopping in coops since the 70 s. Think you guys can do better than this. Wondering if I'll even come back to their store.
3 years later I'm back. Bought a loaf of sourdough bread and it was moldy within a day or two. After checking there was no expiration date on it at all?
Bought a 3 gallon water jug. When it rang up at $7 more than the shelf price I told the cashier who checked with someone who appeared to be a manager. He just laughed it off. They refunded the $7 but really didn't seem to care they had overcharged me. I also don't think they even bothered to change the price in their system or on the shelf so the next person was probably over charged as well.
I love the store and it's location but the help seems to be from another planet.. A planet where customer service still seems to be an...
Read moreI really like this grocery store. They have a wide supply of natural and vegan products. They have a large section in the back that is only vegan meat substitutes and products. They also label which products are local. BUT The main reason I wanted to shop here was because I was lead to believe by employees that they supported a zero waste lifestyle. They have a huge section of bulk items and I was elated to find them but when I came and brought my containers ready to shop I was told that was not allowed. I had to use a plastic bag. The whole point of ALL of this for me is to avoid plastic bags!!! It just is not worth it to get in my car, drive 30 minutes, pay for parking, and pay their super high prices just so I can use plastic. I can do that at Walmart for like 1/3 or 1/4 the price. Staff is super nice and I love their Strauss milk that is packaged in glass. I verified they still recycle the glass bottles. Their local soaps are a good price. But everything else is a no. I understand a lot of people are worried about COVID which is why I’m not angry. But COVID is a level 3 concern for me while the environment and saving money rate much much higher. So if I have to use plastic I can go elsewhere and save a...
Read moreIt's wonderful. I love the coop, and of course they are practicing safe protocols. The 3 star, not 5, is because it is expensive. Extremely expensive. I am a long time member, have been shopping there for over 35 years and have been in different income brackets. I do not think they offer enough sale items or even very good sales when they have them. Right now, pandemic times, I am only purchasing coffee because their bulk coffee section is wonderful. When my income is more steady I do purchase organic vegetables, raw cheese, nutritional yeast, and bulk stuff. I'm not a vegetarian but even when more flush/non pandemic times I do not purchase meats from the coop specifically due to cost. I am glad they are around, though - especially after a hard fought battle from a corporate hostile takeover! I will continue to support the coop as much and...
