In 2003, we discovered a beautiful gem in Albuquerque - Old Town Jewelry Inc. And through the years we have only grown in love and appreciation for the store owners, Bob and Vickie Gorelick AND their one-of-a-kind business. Allow me to share more...

As a young girl, I began a love for Southwestern jewelry. However, I owned only a few pieces created by my beloved Uncle who was an amazing artist. Then with college, marriage, children, demanding jobs, and all those realities of "life", getting jewelry of any kind was just not happening. Thank goodness life evolves and gives us new possibilities, right!?

In later years, we loved escaping from Texas to New Mexico, especially Albuquerque. From day one, Bob and his crew at Alb. Old Town Jewelry, showed us courtesy and patience, educated us on different types of gemstones and minerals, sold us beautiful pieces of jewelry, and much more. Perhaps my greatest treasure is my custom wedding set they created.

We recently visited for the first time, the new store location on Academy Road NE. Oh my, it is night and day from the Old Town location! Primary is the spaciousness, new organization, and overall presentation of the jewelry. Also, the variety of product has greatly increased, including older pieces and estate jewelry. Beautiful, beautiful!

However, one important component has not changed: staff and customer service. The crew at Old Town Jewelry with extra space, is now more at ease and even more attentive! Also, the staff has become "a family affair": longtime family members + past employees + a few special newer employees.

TL;DR: Friendly staff, expert guidance, and a perfect turquoise ring—my best jewelry shopping experience ever.

My experience was intended to be a fun, window-shopping trip alongside—and at the suggestion of—my grandparents. As I first walked into the store, I was greeted by an incredibly helpful and welcoming associate and, later, Bob (owner) himself. They were both exemplary in their customer service, attitude, and knowledge, and they helped me at great length to try and find a piece to match a beautiful turquoise bolo tie I'd recently been gifted. Now, I know very little of the intricacies and nuance of turquoise; Bob was tremendous in his knowledge and his sales associate was very giving of her time in exploring case after case of rings with me.

After being egged on by my grandparents, and thanks in no small part to Bob and the other representatives of Old Town Jewelry, I walked away with a ring that is, in my non-expert opinion, stunning in its own right, and beyond that an even better match for my bolo than I anticipated. I could not be happier with the purchase, but even more significant was my overall experience with this incredible establishment. Genuinely, I cannot recommend them enough and I can say with certainty that this was the best shopping experience I've ever had.

I just want to say thank you to the entire staff of this beautiful store for being so kind and being so generous and so understanding to help this little girl bring her dreams come true. Bob and his team has helped me create the wedding band of my dreams I wanted a gold band with a turquoise stone, a diamond and another turquoise stone on my wedding band. And they went above and beyond to make sure that what I wanted was doable. And they were able to have the ring ready the week before my wedding with no worries no questions asked! I am so thankful to have a very authentic team help me and my fiancé get multiple wedding bands. Both very New Mexican style. My custom bands and rings from Anthony Bowman. I cannot be more thankful to this wonderful company and everything that they do for their customers I highly recommend.
