My family and I have now had several incredible experiences at Dorothea. We loved and admired how the owner, Nicole, came to our table to explain how special each item on the menu is - no use of seed oils, fish flown in from Greece, etc. it’s such a personal touch and made us feel valued that she takes the time to come to our table and speak with us. The atmosphere is gorgeous, the servers are overly kind and attentive, and I cannot say enough about the food. We have enjoyed the perfect lamb shank over orzo, the mouthwatering tomahawk steak, and several other dishes that left us wanting to make this a special, weekly visit for us. I will recommend Dorothea for years to come. Nicole clearly has the heart and passion of her father in all her restaurant ventures. Stop in and be wowed for yourself; you will not be disappointed.

Dorothea is hands down one of my top spots! The atmosphere in both the Taverna and dining room is unmatched in the city, and the food is absolutely delicious. Every time I leave, I'm completely impressed. I've tried several dishes from the menu, and each one has honestly been a winner! The duck tacos, lobster spaghetti, and braised lamb over orzo are especially phenomenal. Their wine list and cocktails are also top-notch. I can't recommend this place enough – you won't be disappointed. Dorothea will probably become your new favorite place too!

I can't believe people have left this place negative reviews. This place cannot do any wrong. The food is over the top amazing to me the price of a reasonable they give you a small portions which is great because small portions are packing it with a bunch of cheap pasta. The employees are nice to the almost to a fault. Can't wait to come back again

VERY DISAPPOINTED in this Greek Restaurant who ran out of Greek Food. My sister was going to treat us to a Greek Meal last night and sadly when we arrived the first thing the waiter told us was ‘let me review all the meals that are not available.’ The Traditional Gyro and the Niko Gyro, along with a few other dinner options, were not available - they ‘ran out.’ ?? This is a Greek Restaurant, mind you, that ‘ran out’ of Greek Food - but the more expensive Gyro Platter was available??? My sister said this same thing had happened to her another time she had come to this restaurant. After letting the waiter know how disappointed we were, as that is the only reason we went, for the specific meals they were out of - we asked about the Happy Hour Menu he had just handed us, on our dining room table, and he told us we couldn’t order because it was 5:32 - so we were 2 minutes late. We asked since we had already been there for a while, and because they were ‘out of’ everything we had come for - could they make an exception. He then brought the manager to the table who told us the only way we could order the happy hour selections is if we sat in the other room - even though they had just handed us the Happy Hour Menu in the dining room and we had arrived before 5:30. The manager said sorry we can’t accommodate you. Needless to say, since we didn’t feel valued as customers, we got up and left - and went to another restaurant that was customer-service oriented and actually had everything on their menu. Will not...

Good day, we've been going to Mykonos for the last 14 years and always had great food and customer service. We tried Dorothea - Fine Greek for the first time. Results: 1) Our Reservations were never written down, so we arrived Yesterday evening (16 Nov 2024) @ 6PM and were told we did not have reservations. 2) The meal took over an hour to arrive at our table for 4 people. 3) My wife's steak was over cooked. We spoke to the waitress and she credited $9.75 on a $49.95 Dinner (Wow! Nice customer service!!! Sarcasm!!!) 4) Food quality was not as good as the old Mykonos. The Greek salad was some oddball salad without Olives (That's what Greek salads are known for??????). 5) The prices have raised significantly. Now you pay more for poor quality. Very disappointed!!!!! Mykonos was a great place with awesome customer service and good prices. Now Dorothea's is a high priced, low quality, minimal customer service-oriented establishment. For the same money spent at Dorothea's, my wife and I will go to Vernon's and get our money's worth as well as great quality food. Sorry Dorotheas........ We should not have tipped so well to reflect the establishment's commitment to their...

A bit more niche than we could fully enjoy. The food we had was generally good - a few things were not to our liking, but overall generally good and all good quality. However, the prices and organic draw detracted from our appreciation for this new concept from the owners of former Mykonos. We tried several appetizers, several chicken dishes, and sides. It was all OK, but pricey. Many menu items are far more upscale than I'm looking for in a Greek restaurant in Abq (duck, imported salmon, etc), and the organic/imported seems to have increased prices to a real fine/upscale restaurant range. Unfortunately, we personally preferred the previous Mykonos concept where we could get fine Greek food that were "classics" with excellent flavors, but this may delight others looking for very upscale and different dishes. Note: Not kid...
