Newest UPDATE: Readjusting to 2 stars. I seriously need to find another place. The food and the PAC-12 Network were the only reasons I kept going but THE SERVICE IS SERIOUSLY SO BAD I really don't ever want to return. As soon as I find a replacement, I'm done here. I walked in, wearing football swag, the place was nearly empty, golf was on half the TVs, there were like 6 football games going on that weren't on the TVs, and though I tried to get multiple servers attention to serve me and/or change the TVs none of them paid me any mind, so I got up and left. If they had literally half as good of service of Dave & Busters this place would be awesome.
1st UPDATE: I've adjusted up to 4 stars. I've been back a few times because friends wanted to go and because they're the only place around that I can find that has the PAC-12 Network. The food continues to impress, the French Dip sandwich is perhaps the best one I've ever had. It's definitely better than the one at The Barley Room just down the street. The staff continues to underwhelm. They're a bit rude, loud, and vulgar and don't seem to care about coming around very often.
OLD VERSION: Only gave two because the Carne Adovado Egg Rolls were decent. Otherwise there's nothing worth returning to this place for. THEY LITERALLY CHARGED ME FOR THE COKE IN MY JACK AND COKE. Otherwise the prices were normal-ish. Boring setting. Dull staff. My server barely came around, I had to go find her twice to order things. The manager set dirty glasses onto my table while wiping another table and then forgot to pick them up. I had to flag a server to come get them. I doubt I'll return. On a previous attempt at calling the place they answered an hung up immediately. Maybe an innocent mistake, but still not...
Read moreI arrived with my Service Dog on Thursday April 9th 2015 at 830pm and was told immediately to leave by this big, bouncer type guy. I told him it was a Service Dog and he demanded to see the papers, which I had but legally was not obligated to show.
Yet, nevertheless I did go back to my car and reentered the establishment with papers, but he still refused to sit me and my dog.
I got the owners phone number from this burly bouncer as well as his name which turned out to be fake (Andrew/Tim) and I have called twice to speak with the owner, leaving two messages and even I stopped in because there had been no returned call.
I find it amazing that establishments such as this one refuse to service challenged individuals such as myself and such establishments are completely unaware of the Dept of Justice laws when it comes to not discriminating against those of us that have served this country and are obeying the laws and in need of assistance by a Service animal.
Some Proprietors need to do a better job training their employees rather than just flat out refusing challenged people the service that we are equally entiteled.
I will never go back to Spectators as there are other eateries and restaurants that are in compliance with the Justice Department Government laws. The attitude and the ignorance from this establishment (and that Bouncer, in particular) is not only illegal but shows the lack of understanding of the law compounded by any compassion. Not that compassion is what I'm looking for.
If you choose to go there, I hope you have a better experience than I did.
I will still await a call...
Read moreLoud, crowded, noisy and unfriendly management. We waited 3 hours to be served. We had 6 hungry children who suffered without snacks or anything to hold them over. I asked the waitress and she did get them some. We asked the staff what the hold-up was and they just continued to tell us we were in the que. The manager was not pleasant about the inconvenience, and made it seem as if we were wrong for being displeased with the wait times.
She said " well I offered to cancel the order and u decided to wait". But at this point we had already waited 2 hours. So it was impractical to pick up the hungry kids and go wait at another restaurant. We expressed that we thought it would be appropriate to reduce the full price of the bill. She discounted the bill at $1 per item which was the equivalent of the military discount we would have received under normal circumstances. She said the owner would not do any more than 10%. She said she would call and ask.
The owner agreed to 20% When we disagreed, she threatened to call security on us if we did not pay. The problem I had was not so much with the compensation agreement, it was more so the " so what, not my problem attitude" that she took with the situation. She never apologized for the inconvenience and was rather annoyed that we had the audacity to be dissatisfied and disagree. Process problems are not the fault of the customer and the outcome would have been better if her tone was more compassionate...
