I visited the Aldi store at tonight 12/19/2024 to exchange an item under the 60-day return policy stated on your website. Instead of receiving assistance, I was met with resistance and unprofessional behavior.
When I explained the issue to an employee, they refused to process the exchange, became argumentative, and insisted it wasnāt allowed. While I was on the phone speaking Spanish, the employee followed me through the store when I sought help from another staff memberāa womanāmaking me feel intimidated and uncomfortable.
When I asked for the general managerās name to escalate my concern, the employee refused to provide it. This behavior was both unprofessional and unsettling. Customers should not feel harassed or treated differently for any reason while seeking help.
I request that Aldi reviews this incident, trains staff on proper customer service and inclusivity, and ensures that policies are consistently applied across all stores. I am highly disappointed with this experience and would appreciate a direct response from corporate.
Customers should feel supported, not harassed, lied to, or ignored, especially when following store policy. I request Aldi investigate this incident, take corrective action to ensure your staff are properly trained in customer service, and address why I was treated in such a dismissive and intimidating manner. I look forward to hearing directly from corporate...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI would give ZERO stars if it were possible! The staff at this location are some of the rudest people I have ever encountered. I stood in line (waited quite a long while), and when I got to the cashier I asked him if he would please check the balance on my ALDI gift card. He looked at me like I had horns coming out of my face. He proceeded to tell me that he didn't know how to do it and tried to send me away. I replied, "there is no phone number or website so I can check it, so how do I check the balance on it?" He shrugged, said he didn't know and proceeded to take the customer behind me. Just left me there dumbfounded!! I then had to find someone Myself to ask (an employee by the name of Linda), and she was soo incredibly rude that I have no words to express it. She tried to blow me off, but I was insistent. Her frustration was apparent, and when I suggested she just ring something up and then swipe my gift card, she actually walked away from me! Anyway, short story long...I was so disgusted that I gave my gift card to a shopper. I will NEVER EVER shop at an ALDI supermarket EVER AGAIN!! And I will proceed to encourage others to do the same-(if asked). Steer clear most especially of the location next to the CVS on Monroe Avenue...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe only thing that keeps me coming back to this Aldi location is the more affordable groceries (when they are in stock that is) and the fact that it is close to where I live. However, the store on Monroe Ave (Alexandria, VA) is poor in so many ways. The staff seem like they don't care. They literally throw food onto the shelves and in your trolley, they look completely miserable and some don't even say 'hello' or exchange any pleasantries when you're paying. There was woman we encountered last week who was disgraceful. She was shockingly rude to customers, but unfortunately I didn't see a name badge. There are days where the fresh produce is significantly limited so we often have to visit several grocery stores just to get all our salad items etc. Some food (like sweet potatoes) are often moldy and rotten and bread sometimes is partially frozen. The store is often chaotic with long lines to pay because there is only one cashier and then it impacts how shoppers can move around the store. I dread going to this Aldi. It's really not good enough. This store is in a very busy location and it's not fit...
