Fresh Toast DMV: A Hidden Gem If you're looking for a truly exceptional breakfast or brunch spot in DMV, Fresh Toast DMV is a must-visit. This small but mighty eatery has quickly become a local favorite, and it's easy to see why. From the moment you step up, you're greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The two guys running the business are absolutely fantastic. They're friendly, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable about their menu. It's clear that they're passionate about providing a wonderful dining experience, not just selling food. Despite the small truck, Fresh Toast DMV manages to create culinary magic. Every dish is made to order, ensuring maximum freshness and flavor. While you may need to wait a bit longer than at a fast-food joint, the quality of the food is well worth it. I highly recommend trying the strawberry cheesecake and cinnamon roll French toast. They're both absolutely delicious and perfectly balance sweet and savory flavors. And don't forget to add a side of bacon to your meal – it's crispy, flavorful, and the perfect complement to any dish. Fresh Toast DMV is a shining example of what a great restaurant should be. With its friendly staff, delicious food, and commitment to quality, it's no wonder why they've gained such a loyal following. I can't wait to see what the future holds for this...
Read moreThis hidden gem is easy to miss given the minimalist signs and the little yellow trailer tucked in the back. The only seating is two tables on the front porch of the building in front. It is already 90 this morning with a 94 heat index and full sun ... the shade along the adjacent wall is the only relief. The metal tables are roasting in the sun, so we opted to walk back home. "Atmosphere" is an unfair category for a tiny food trailer, so I'll just give it five stars ... maybe sit on a cooler day.
Service: there are limited options, all variations of french toast. $11 for my maple bacon seems reasonable. The dude inside was very nice and answered our questions. he said it would be ten minutes, and it basically was.
Food is awesome. Thick slices of bacon and thick toast. Wife got blueberries and she did not add syrup (I did). We did not opt for the bourbon syrup $2 upcharge. Calories? Who cares!
We agreed this would be even better on a cooler fall day. High come-back value ... and I have to try the...
Read moreWe had no intentions of stopping here. It was late Saturday night and were on our way to a different restaurant that we had eaten at before. But the “Toast” sign caught our eye and we thought - let’s check it out! SO glad we did! We were quickly seated and the waitress, Mikayla, was attentive throughout our meal - filling our drinks and keeping us hydrated. My husband got the Toast Burger and it was cooked to perfection! Incredibly juicy and delicious. I got the Meatloaf Sammy which had a surprising subtle sweet taste (we couldn’t figure out if it was the bun or the ketchup) and it was also great. We both got the mashed potatoes which were homemade and so creamy. We finished it off with a slice of Key Lime pie which was glutton free and also tasted homemade. The perfect way to end the meal! We took advantage of the patio seating as it was a rare cool summer evening. We will...
