Rolling Sloane’s Bakery is a hidden gem. I messaged Sloane in a panic about finding a cake for my uncle’s 80th day-of birthday celebration. She called me back almost immediately and, as she said, “just happened to be in my cottage kitchen on a rainy day.” In two hours, she had created a phenomenal red velvet cake with delicious cream cheese frosting and a personalized message for my uncle. My dad and I stopped by to pick up the cake from the cute retro pale blue fridge at her location and then headed to the family gathering at the restaurant. Let's talk about the chicken pot pie – seriously, it's out of this world! It's hands-down the best chicken pot pie I've ever had the pleasure of tasting. Nothing else even compares. My only wish? That they were magically endless, because they are just that good!

And the pastries? Don't even get me started! They were all phenomenal. The poptart was a delightful surprise, the carrot cake pop was unbelievably moist (like, melt-in-your-mouth amazing!), the chocolate chip cookie was pure perfection, and the scone? It had the most incredible texture I've ever encountered in a scone.

We live a good 45 minutes away, but believe me, we would happily make the trek back any day for another slice of that incredible pie or to sample whatever delicious creations they have that week. This bakery is 100%...

Only just discovered Sloane and her pastries this year at the West End Farmers Market. My god, her pop tarts are deliciously flaky and buttery with a sweetness that bursts in your mouth! The shortbread is so tender that it just melts in your mouth and you wonder where the rest of it has gone. Her pies and cakes get rave reviews, so I'm looking forward to trying them next time.
