Dunham's Sports — Local services in Alexandria

Prices were good, but customer service leaves much to be desired. First time at this location. Upon entering i noticed it did not appear to have many people shopping at the time. I was there about 3:30 in the afternoon. I was not greeted by anyone, although two employees were there at the register talking. I spent about 20 minutes looking for a couple of items in several areas of the store. I was not asked if I needed help finding anything. I found most of what I wanted, which i was pleased with the pricing, and went up to register. The big kid with dark curly hair was rather distracted than dealing with me. No questions about if I found everything. He just asked for phone number and email, gave me a total, and took my payment. I only had 2 shirts and he didn't ask me if I wanted a bag. Store manager is rude and unprofessional. Black Friday sale on safes, called but no answer so i checked website to make sure they had in stock. Then the long drive to the Alexandria store to find they had none, discontinued model and couldn't order more. I checked (cuz he wouldn't) other stores and none. Asked if he would sell floor model at sale price and he said "NO"...asked why and he said "because I'm not". I understand it's a busy day and by 10am he was already frustrated but for this shorter older man to have such a big attitude was unnecessary...btw other employees were helpful and my sympathies for having to deal...

On the closure and waited opening of sportsman wearhouse the next closest outdoor supplies was Dunham's, I did visit quite a lot when I was closer and bought gun's and ammo often, but this visit was different went to see what was left amidst the growing "virus" and found workers with family and friends having a good ol time with no need to greet and help customers. Luckily I knew the layout and just what I was looking for so got the couple things I wanted, and left with a somewhat sour taste in my mouth, hopefully this store will get turned around because the first few...
