Sam did a complicated repair job on our Maytag Bravo XL High Efficiency Washing machine this visit. We have had service on other appliances in our home so he is our "go to guy" for excellent appliance repair. His first repair was our dishwasher. His next visit he repaired our dryer. The next time he visited he repaired our under cabinet microwave which sits over the stove/range. On this visit, the washing machine was a very complicated repair and the most involved repair of all that Sam has done for us. The washing machine started making louder and louder noises during the spin cycles. So, we caught up on our laundry and made an appointment with Sam. This was not an emergency so we set up the appointment as "flexible" to fit into Sam's schedule as many customers demand his services. Sam had to remove the cabinet from the washing machine and lift out the entire tub to get to the bearings which were shot. We were very concerned because the washing machine is only 8 years old. I attached some pictures here and you can see that Sam was working in very tight quarters and was extremely, neat, organized and methodical. I will let the pictures speak for themselves now. After the washing machine was finished Sam graciously took a look at our refrigerator/freezer. It has an icemaker where ice is dispensed through the door of the freezer without having to open the freezer door. The mechanism drive in the ice holder tray inside the freezer had broken so the motor could no longer push the ice through the spout to exit the front of the freezer door. Sam told us we could fix this ourselves. He removed the entire ice holder tray from the freezer and we could clearly see the broken edges of the screw drive mechanism. Sam ordered an entire new ice tray holder and brought it to our home and we installed it ourselves. This ice maker dispenser works wonderful now even better than...
Read moreWe own a Blue Star 48” 8 burner range with double ovens. It was in the house when we purchased it and is no longer under warranty. We had a nearly impossible time finding ANYONE to come and service it when the large oven stopped working. I made endless phone calls to Blue Star and all of the appliance repair places that service Blue Star and every appliance repair place within a 35 mile radius, but because it was no longer under warranty, and because we didn’t purchase from these places, they wouldn’t service. I figured there was no other option but to start looking for a new stove. I found Grove Appliances and asked about ranges. I explained my situation. I was not in a great mood that day. Whoever I was chatting with on the text line was very sympathetic and assured me that anything I ordered from their store they would also service. He also seemed surprised that we were having such a difficult time finding a service technician. A few minutes later, I got a text from Sam, Grove appliance’s service manager. He asked some questions about our range and what trouble we were having. Then he said he would be happy to send someone out to check it out for us, even through they weren’t familiar with Blue Star. They scheduled a visit and Paul came out. He didn’t even charge us for the first visit because it was something he needed to further research. He said he’d get with the Blue Star people and try to figure it out. It took a second visit to determine what part we needed and when he came back the third time, it was fixed! Paul even fixed one of the burners that wasn’t igniting. I can’t say enough about the professionalism and the responsiveness of Grove. They did not give up and they went way above and beyond to fix my stove. When we are in the market for a new appliance, most likely a refrigerator in the near future, Grove will absolutely be our store. I’m...
Read moreSam's Appliance Repair offers a hassle-free service from start to finish that perfectly mixes automated, digital communication with friendly in-person service. I would definitely contact them again for any future appliance issues and would recommend them to friends and family members in their service area.
Their online contact form was straight-forward to complete and offered the convenience of submitting a request at my own time after normal business hours when I realized a repair was needed for my dishwasher. Their form also included upfront details about diagnostic costs and other FAQs that offered consumer confidence in requesting an initial repair diagnosis.
I received text messages regarding the scheduled date and time, ETA of initial diagnosis service (and follow-up installation services), the technician's name, and verification the technician would arrive in a marked service vehicle. I also received emails confirming the scheduled time of my appointments. These automated text messages were extremely helpful and nice to prepare and know the exact time of the visit.
During the diagnostic and repair, Samuel, our technician, was very professional and personable. He was always transparent on what he was going to do, what he was doing, and what the next steps would be. He was always friendly from start to finish.
It was convenient to be able to pay by debit/credit card due to his use of an iPad that handled ordering parts, creating the invoice, and submitting payment right on the spot.
It was extra nice to have a local company with a local technician be able to offer this superior service. It was like having a good friend come in and do the repair. I would not hesitate to reach out to Sam's Appliance Repair for any appliance issues...
