Looking for something "Blueberry"? Ms. Ann has it at the Blueberry Barn! I stepped into her store and stopped in my tracks. I turned and looked until she broke my trance as she greeted me. I was embarrassed when I realized my mouth was agape but I was totally overwhelmed by the multitude of assorted items made from blueberries. I had stopped in for just one or two items for a gift box...I knew immediately that wasn't going to happen. Juice, jams, jellies, hand cream, soap, syrups, candies; not to mention cloth items, baby items, candles, air freshener. However, I did not enjoy my visit at all. Her blueberry ice cream is greatly overpriced. A gallon is $25, compared to $9-$14 at the store.
I’ve had very good homemade fruit ice cream before. This, however, was greatly subpar. The ice cream container was quite underfilled compared to the size I was paying for, and the ice cream itself was underwhelming.
For a “homemade” blueberry cheesecake ice cream, there was not a single blueberry in the ice cream, and the base itself wasn’t great either.
Again, I don’t think the owner is a bad person, but this was the worst experience I’ve had with homemade ice...
