Huddle House — Restaurant in Alma

Some friends and I (we are all from out of town) came and ate at this sad excuse of a restaurant last night. Service was slow but we understood because there was one waitress and they were busy so we were patient. The waitress was honestly the rudest human being I’ve ever been around. She made a snarky comment to a coworker about a friend of mine who simply asked for silverware after a salad had just been dropped off at our table... Talkign about “why do they need silverware right now they can wait like everyone else”. She had literally just given me a salad was I supposed to eat with my hands? The produce was horrible by the way but that’s a whole other issue... If you hate your job so much you need to work somewhere else. I’ve waited tables and I work retail. You have to leave your problems at the door even when it’s busy otherwise you don’t make money and your attitude gets worse. Either do better or like I said find somewhere else to work. There’s no need to take your issues out on guests ESPECIALLY when they were nothing but respectful to you first. If anyone knows a corporate number for Huddle House please let me know because I really want to report her. I didn’t get her name but she was a bigger girl with glasses and short light brown hair. Had a very bad experience. First, waitress had set part of our food order on another customer's table and then instead of preparing another order, picked it up from their table and brought it back to us!! That is very unsanitary. But then to top it off before we left, one of the waitresses brought their child in and let their child sit at the bar and play with the toothpicks that they use to put in sandwiches, etc., as well as playing with the silverware and napkins that they had set on the bar apparently to use for customers. This is SO UNSANITARY. With the sicknesses and diseases that are going around, how do we know this child (who apparently wasn't in school at the time we were there), wasn't sick. A restaurant is NOT the place for people to bring their children and leave them unsupervised to play with the utensils, etc., that are being given to the customers to eat with. We let the manager know how we felt and that we wouldn't be back, but not sure that will prevent future similar incidents. Was really disappointed in this Huddle House. We visit the Huddle House in Baxley often and have always received good service there, so was really shocked with our experience at this Huddle in Alma. Again, will never be back. You make your...

I am very upset bout my visit at this house....me and my husband was in there on 1/5/2024 and our witness was cussing at me and my husband and said she don't give a damn if we stay or go .... And she is giving away free food to ppl and putting the money in her pocket.... I was going to restroom and she went to our table and when I came out she was setting besides my husband... We go to huddle house all over and didn't problems until we got to your huddle house and I will make it known all over alma and Douglas. Her name was Courtney.... If she is stealing from huddle house she is stealing from everyone... Me and my friends each there from time to time and this was uncalled for.... Courtney needs to find another job cause huddle house is to good and have good food but not to have to put up with someone cussing and raising sand and customers don't eas to her that ...they are there for a reason and not all that cussing...we paid bill and she put money in pocket we gave her the correct amount...
