After reading reviews about this salon, I made appointments for me and three of my girlfriends to have pedicures done together. I arrived first given that I was the hostess, and then one of my other friends showed up and they wanted us to go to the back and sit in the chairs, which I obliged. They kept wanting to start my pedicure. I kept asking her to please wait until we were all there. She completely ignored me. I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt I got the worst pedicure I’ve had in my adult life. Thankfully I only ordered a spa pedicure. My pedicure did not even last 25 minutes. She didn’t even bother to put a topcoat on my nail polish. My that was next to me and had a spa pedicure started at the same time finished 25 minutes after me. The massage was as effortless as the girl could possibly give me.
What happened is they didn’t have enough people to give the four of us pedicures, even though I made the reservation a week before. So the girl that did my pedicure was basically rushing me off the chair so she could move on to one of my friend’s pedicures. I can just tell you I wouldn’t recommend this place. It might be great if you go in and get a one off type of thing. But don’t go as like a group of girlfriends. The owner is quite nice and very friendly. But I’m not going to give a good review just because somebody smiled at me. It was a terrible pedicure. I basically wasted money tonight. I could’ve given myself a polish change because that’s all I got. When I asked her about my calluses, she told me she didn’t need to do any work on my feet because I had no calluses. I absolutely walked out of there with zero work done on any calluses, which I don’t have a lot, but I do have some. I take care of my feet but I still had some work that should’ve been done. She just didn’t want to do the work. She wanted to try to fit two pedicures in the same amount of time one should’ve taken. I sat there while my other three friends finished and just walked out of the door at 8:55 PM. I was finished at 7:25 So I sat there for an hour and a half while my friends had pedicures . I could go on. I’m rambling because I’m irritated and disappointed and I wouldn’t recommend this place at all. Unfortunately the woman that gave me my pedicure didn’t introduce herself or give me a name so I can’t tell you who to avoid. Just stay away. I have never walked out of a pedicure without tipping - until tonight. That is a...
Read moreDespite a positive initial visit, my second experience left much to be desired. We specifically asked the manager if the service could be completed by 5:50, as we had a dinner reservation. Despite their assurance, the process felt rushed, and we ultimately missed our reservation at Avalon because it was 6:30 by the time we were done with just painting and shaping nails.
My disappointment further deepened during the service itself. Instead of a full manicure and pedicure, the process was rushed, limited to shaping and painting my nails. I had an unpleasant and painful experience with Tony cutting through my skin while filing. What was particularly unsettling was the cutting off of my real nails and the subsequent use of glue to piece them back together. Not only did the service not meet the standard, but it also left my fingers in significant discomfort, leading me to use ointment to alleviate the pain.
Furthermore, despite requesting an almond shape, the result was far from what I expected. I can't identify the shape they created. The overall rushed and incomplete service, coupled with the painful experience, made for a thoroughly disappointing visit.
To add to the frustration, we were charged the full price for a service that did not live up to the promised quality. I believe that honest feedback is crucial for improvement, and I hope that sharing my experience can contribute to enhancing the...
Read moreDisappointing and unprofessional. Poor quality of products. Poor prep of nails. Poor application of products. Usually, I skip reviews that are this poor, but the service was so below the bar, it warrants some attention. I tried Signature Nail Salon for the first time based on reviews. Unfortunately, I visited the salon the day before my birthday for an SNS manicure and a gel pedicure. The manicurist was a bit impatient in my color choice-not rude, but close enough. I do not believe my nails were buffed prior to the SNS application. My nails seem thick and uneven, while the powder seems glued to my cuticles. There is minimal shine, and despite a couple of requests to additionally file my nails for better shaping, I had to shape them in the car. The gel pedicure was also below average, but the pedicurist was less gruff and more amiable. Although I chose an OPI gel polish, the quality of the polish seemed suboptimal, and appeared darker on some nails than others. The color also seemed two shades lighter than the one I chose, more than any difference in lighting would explain. I will not name the manicurist and pedicurist because everyone deserves a second chance.I still tipped them out of compulsion rather than on merit. Hopefully, this review will lead to better training and the use of...
