St. Peters Hardware True Value Rental — Local services in Alton

I rented some equipment for my outdoor wedding. A flooring material, chairs and tablecloths. Due to weather I had to move my wedding from outdoors to in. When they delivered the items I was going to go ahead and take the flooring even though it was no longer needed, as I spent about $300.00 to rent it. The drivers didn’t unload it and when I asked why not, they said it would be taken off my contract and wouldn’t have to pay for it since they weren’t leaving it. I was charged the full amount and I have no problem with that, except for that I was told by a representative of the company one thing and it was not honored. On top of that when they came to pick up the items they didn’t pick up the tablecloths because they “could not find them” and I had to make an hour and a half round trip to pick them up and deliver back to the store even though the tablecloths were in plain sight on top of the bar.

Had a 'new employee' give me a quote and reserve a skid steer rental at an amazing low price, and I even called back to confirm the pricing and the reservation. When I showed up for pickup, the store manager told me the real price was actually 5 times higher than originally quoted, and that their employee mis quoted me because she had only been there for 3 days.
