MeowTown — Restaurant in Alton

So I was very excited about going to meet the cats and possibly see if I could convince my grandma to adopt one. But when we pulled up to the place they first told us that we have to have a reservation and that they were full. When I asked them how to do that they told me to go to the site and that it would cost $9 to make a reservation. That really pissed me off because the whole point of this place is to get the cats adopted and we should not have to pay $9 just to see the cats and then have to pay more just to have a coffee or cookies. They obviously do not care about getting the cats adopted especially since they are keeping us from seeing them and telling us we have to pay to see them. That is a total ripoff. You don't have to pay to see the cats at the Humane Society. I was all excited about this place but come to find out it's a total ripoff and I guess we won't be adopting a cat from them. I do not recommend going there. They are very rude and not focused on getting the cats adopted...

Absolutely 10/10 place to be! I'm a huge cat lover so seeing a place like this come to our area had me so excited The cats are all so well taken care of- they're given plenty of toys and food and even a space to hide if they need a break from people. Even the cats that start out shy always end up coming out of their shell because they're taken care of so well by the owners and volunteers Everyone that's on staff here is so kind and friendly, it makes Meowtown a perfect place to come and just relax and hang out. I've told just about everyone I know about this place and I'll never stop raving...

This has been my third visit I bought a friend that had never been there before we both had coffee and cookies and we were very relaxed we got to visit with the cats it was a wonderful group of cats is there we were there on 517-24 we got to meet the owners got to talk to them and find out the backstory about the meow Town how it got started and what they had to do to get it started I mean I had a very very enjoyable evening I would recommend it to anybody if anything just to have the coffee and the atmosphere but I'll definitely will be back and I'll be bringing more...
