My family and I had the most magical stay at Captain’s Quarters at 210 Village Way in the private Carillon Beach community. This house was above and beyond all expectations. Every part of the house is unique and comfortable with exquisite views from the 2nd and 3rd floor balconies of the pond to the left, the beach and ocean to the front, and a lake to the right. One of my favorite spots is the “crows nest” on the third floor, on the porch or with the windows open, listening to the waves crashing and watching the sun rise and set. The house is equipped with everything you could need and even comes with a guest house, also fully equipped, that is just as stunning as the main house. In addition, the house is the only one we saw in Carillon that owns a lot in front of it , so it has a massive yard in front where you can play corn hole or enjoy family activities, while also having enough privacy being away from the other homes. The beach is only 100 yards from the house, which you can access from one of 8 over-walks to the beach (the one closest to the house is about 100 yards away, has a beautiful pool with bathrooms, and massive pavilion attached to the walk-over to get to the beach).
Although we didn’t need anything during our stay, other than to find the grocery store near by, the property manager Karen took care of everything, and responded immediately. Captain’s Quarters was beyond anything we could have dreamed, and is the ONLY beach house we plan on renting for many returns to look forward to throughout the years. We’ve already booked it again in September and plan to return again in October! Thank you Karen, for helping us find our happy place at Captain’s Quarters in the beautiful, private Carillon...
Read moreWe rented 'Are We There Yet' for the week between Christmas 2018 and New Years for our family holiday get together. First I want to say the property manager Karen is AWESOME! She is very attentive and kind. She kept in touch and responded very quickly with any questions we had. She also provided local contacts including herself for any issues that may arise. We only had to contact someone once to ask for garbage pick up. They came promptly. I would recommend bigger trash cans for big families staying at the property. We cooked every meal and we had extra rubbish from Christmas presents. So it may not be an issue for others. The kitchen was stocked with every cooking need. Including a crock pot and large griddle! This was a nice surprise. There was no wine bottle opener however. The house was absolutely WONDERFUL! Beautifully decorated and spacious. We had 5 couples, one small child, and one young adult lady and we all had our own private space and plenty of room to spread out. Everyone had their own bathroom. There was also a huge shower/toilet room just inside the side door for coming right off the beach. Perfect for keeping house clean from beach sand. The house was perfect! We loved the elevator for transporting groceries and luggage up to the living areas. It was also much needed for our elderly visitor who would have had trouble climbing the stairs in the rain. We loved the community. It is gated and felt very safe. The area is VERY pretty. I would recommend this house for big families. I would also recommend this company for renting vacation homes. Service was excellent and property is very clean and well looked after. Thank You Carillon Beach and Sandels by the Sea for a wonderful vacation...
Read moreThe Captains Quarters Home was absolutely gorgeous. We were approved to have an intimate micro wedding at the home. We were told that we would be the last wedding able to be held at the home due to previous noise complaints from neighbors. We communicated with the property manager over several months prior to our stay about the plans that would take place. (Feb-May) I could not have had my wedding or make the memories we did without their approval which we are grateful for!
A text message would have been nice as far as the amount of random unannounced visits from property managers. It made us feel a little unwelcome and like we were constantly being watched. I felt like we communicated enough about our plans before and upon arrival of our stay about what would be taking place at the home and we still felt uncomfortable as the neighbors were videoing us randomly. It seemed like there was some tension between property managers and HOA.
Probably not the most kid friendly (we have toddlers) but hindsight 20/20 we will keep that in mind for future bookings. Just a heads up - We found several bugs in the home on our stay. Mostly on the second floor. Other than that we made the best of a busy weekend and everyone loved the aesthetics of the layout. Overall we used our time wisely but will probably not book again. We usually book through Vacasa and have more privacy. However, the beauty of the home and location outweighed any complaints we had. The frogs at night were nice to listen to. The weather is perfect and the yard is well shaded. The showers were a huge hit for everyone! Plenty of space for larger groups. We enjoyed our time for...
