It is a family run establishment but they are rude. From the daughter who runs the register to the mother who is back of the house. They brought toast to the table that was burnt around the edges. When we spoke up about it the daughter caught an attitude and said it wasn't burnt and walked off. The mother who stayed at the table tried to say it was burned like that because if the grill but we had other breads that also came off the grill that didn't have that burnt edge but we let that go and just kept it and took the edges off. So everyone's else's food came out except for one person's food in the party. We waited up to 20 minutes before we sent 2 different people to inquire about the loaded omelet in which time the daughter caught an attitude read off that we had one loaded omelet (we had thought we had 2 but the real problem was if you saw it to read if off the ticket in that condescending tone then we should have had it on our table and not come and ask about it) so when my partner was talking and trying to explain it calmly she raised her voice and said she was being disrespectful. So they finally came out with the omelet after everyone was done eating. The person in the party no longer wanted the omelet and asked for a refund as she'd wanted to eat with the rest of her family before we all left to go home to our respective states. The mother advised that she couldn't give a refund after the food was made but she could box it up even though no where in the restaurant did it advise that there was no refunds. This was an all around bad customer service experience. If the mistake was ours than I can understand this behavior but it would have been so simple to remake the toast (that's almost 8....so it's not like you gave it to us for free) and to simply apologize for forgetting a very large part of our order (A WHOLE MEAL) instead of catching attitudes and then refusing to refund us for your mistake. Then after the wait, no apology was...
Read moreDisgusting unhygienic food, trashy behavior and scam-like practices. They serve hair in their food and bring all items severely undercooked. They attack customers who ask them politely to replace a dish with hair and raw eggs. Attacks involve inadequate psychopathic behavior with threats calling security or police (who apparently a member of their own family) accompanied by the whole family of owners including their big daughters coming out and pushing customers, so even the little children get abused here and pushed, then charged for things you didn’t order. So if you are in a mood for some low level inadequate violence towards you, getting robbed and getting sick after eating here, you can give it a try. I wish we read all the bad 1star review before stopping by here. They do try very hard though to erase all the bad reviews on Facebook, as they ask all of their family members and friends to keep posting dishonest fake positive reviews (from greedy owners and landlords who care only about their own profits and not visitors’ safety, so they keep deleting bad reviews from their facebook page and covering up bad reviews with endless fake positives everywhere, as they know that people won’t be renting out their units there, if this cafe will have many bad reviews not covered up by those fake positive ones), as they know this is the only place to go to have breakfast or lunch around there, so it pushes them to constantly post these fake positives for this only cafe in the whole area, as otherwise people won’t stay there at all. Save your vacation by staying away from this awful place and low class people with serious anger management...
Read moreI went when visiting Carillon and ordered their apple pie ice cream. I got the wrong order, key lime pie ice cream, but it didn’t matter to me so I continued to eat it. I noticed after a bite I took that something was immediately wrong. I had bitten into peanut butter in a key lime pie ice cream and with my deathly allergy to peanuts, I immediately started going into anaphylactic shock. I almost had to go to the emergency room, but thankfully I had sufficient enough medicine to prevent what could’ve been a near death experience. Because of the severity of this, I felt like the staff needed to know. I went and spoke to the daughter of the owner, who proceeded to blame me and told me I should have told them about my allergy. I explained to her since I ordered a non-peanut ice cream, I didn’t feel it necessary to do this. I told her that what if there was a kid who didn’t know they were allergic to something, and accidentally ate it because they have a cross contamination issue. I explained how this could easily kill the person if they had no medication to reverse the effects. She brushed that aside and continued to lecture me about how this was on me. I told her they had a cross contamination issue, and once again I was told this was my fault. I did not get one apology or anything. This woman felt no remorse for this, so I just...
