Needed beds for the offspring, staff tolerated me trying to reach my children to see if they would tolerate bunk beds.
All in all, entirely too much time in store. Not to staff faulting but took a while to learn that bunks were indeed acceptable to my offspring.
All in all, staff could have had me out in ten to fifteen. The first sales associate showed me what was available, the second tried to help check me out before I was made aware bunks were acceptable, and after picking bunks a third associate helped finish me out the door.
Bonus point: The final associate was an 11B (IYKYK) at one point. That probably means more to those in the know, but was meaningful to me and added a bonus to an annoyingly hectic experience (buying furniture in general).
Should be delivered Friday, if this doesnt have an update in the future assume it arrived.
(Update) Well, Friday came and that note about it having been a charlie foxtrot what with the being unsure what to get my daughters resulted in unfettered chaos.
Got my order, realized that an error was made, it was fixed by the close of the day. I'm not even upset about error considering I was in the store for like an hour and the transaction was paused something like three times. The fact that there was only one mixup is pretty impressive.
Should be noted that although they aren't contractually required to aid in putting stuff into the house or assembly, the dude who dropped off the replacement for the error was more than happy to attempt getting the mostly dissembled bunk back to the room it was destined, but he came to the same realization I did which was... Yep, have to break it down fully...
Course he reached that revelation without having a rant at the width of the halls mockingly threatening to widen it by setting it on fire and letting flames do widening work but... You know, i'm not a professional. Other dude was. Clearly I didn't go that route.
While i'm not all that handy I am fortunate to have a sister who was able to get it done relatively quickly.
All in all, dude didn't have to try to help at all. Policies were pretty clearly listed in store so the attempt was appreciated. Specially considering he arrived in a personally owned vehicle at the end of the day.
Given the red flags that triggers for a guy who use to deliver stuff, I'd recommend the employee be compensated for the extra 30 or so minutes he spent trying to render aid. Kind of kicking myself for not keeping cash at the house otherwise I would've been able to bridge the gap in payment for services.
Either way, review remains overall unchanged but an update seemed warranted. Buying furniture sucks, they attempt to make it suck less, even with the unexpected errors that chaos causes....
Read moreI went in looking for a full size mattress and came out with a king because it might have taken 3weeks for a full size to come in. Sales..i get it. I pick up the mattress with the intention of leaving the plastic on the mattress& boxsprings - and mention this to the person- and the warehouse person rips and tears the plastic to the point that I can't leave it on. Too busy on the phone WHILE helping another customer, to pay attention to the CUSTOMERS.
Sometime Later, I called and was told there were no frames in the size I needed. I went in same day to see what else might work for me, and was told someone would be with me in a minute. 2 workers: 1 eating (csp1) and one waiting on a custoner(csp2). So I waited...and waited and waited. Finally after stuffing their face with food out on the sales floor, CSP 1 decided they could ask me what I needed. I explained and the attitude from this person that I was disturbing their eating time, was rediculous. They asked csp2 WHILE WITH a customer to go and check on it, do I mind waiting? So I waited...and waited and waited. Finally the eater CSP1 was able to get up and check on the item realizing that this situation was WRONG. Csp2, still with customer decided to, all of a sudden, go and check for me, after telling me they will go in a minute when they get done. When csp2 came back I finally got the item I did not ask for, but ""better."" I tried to use snap credit, that Snap kept sending me 5emails a day about needing to use what was ALREADY offered, for weeks, since I was still approved and it was available. NO RESTRICTIONS APPLIED. I was told by my name I was not in the system. By SSN and dob, suddenly I was found and not allowed to use it , unless I wanted to FINANCE MORE. " was there anything else I would like to get" GRIN.
I get the item home and a simple simple simple item to put together took me 2HRS because the piece of furniture doesnt lock AT ALL, but keeps falling apart. I wasnt given all the peices I needed and had to find peices at my house to make it work. Tried to put my boxsprings on it made the ENTIRE FRAME fall apart even after adjusting it EXACTLY as the instructions specified MINUS the parts that were non exsistant.
Moral of the story, go somewhere else. Its not worth it. Snap has a SUPER FINANCE and payment options, LOVE SNAP, but with A DIFFERENT store. I wont be back. I will buy outside of Amarillo before I go here again. 2 visits & both were not good...
Read moreAmarillo Furniture Exhange provided the most phenomenal service. They provided great quality furniture , a plethora of options from furniture design to finance options. I went in the beginning of the week to browse their selection as well as price the pieces I liked , first and foremost I wanted everything. Everything was reasonably priced and in good condition. The staff on hand to assist with any questions and feedback were knowledgeable of the products and the process. I left to think on it and ran into one of the employees a few days later and he made sure to ask me if I had any concerns and advised me to come back in to get the sectional I couldn’t stop thinking about. When I went in I was assisted by Calvin and Mariah. They both made me feel at home (in a furniture store how fitting) and the process for taking my sectional home was stress free. I sat on the sectional I planned to take home and read while they took care of everything. Mariah and I shared stories about living alone for the first time , buying furniture and her love for interior design. I’m in the process of redecorating so I loved her input. Calvin and I discussed our mutual interest in the show The Office and anyone who loves the office just as much as I do is automatically friend. They worked with my schedule with no issue. I mean I financed on a Thursday and got my couch Friday evening. The delivery team was extremely nice, they called multiple times to let me know they were on the way and even helped me (because I’m organized) prepare for my new furniture to be moved in. One of the guys recognized me from high school and even commented on my bookshelf. The delivery was quick and easy and on time!
I absolutely have no conplaints with the service I received. Customer Experience is such an important part of sales work and I mean Amarillo Furniture Exchabge has the customer experience portion down, add in the phenomenal efficiency of every step in the process of getting your items and they are absolutely perfect in my book.
I will never go anywhere else for furniture options whether I’m buying outright or financing. Amarillo Furniture Exchange has my loyalty and business forever.
I encourage all first time homeowners, individuals moving out for the first time, new businesses and even just for redecorating purposes to please use Amarillo Furniture Exchange. You won’t be...
