Dairy Queen — Restaurant in Amarillo

I went to the one on Western after work last night at a little after 9 pm. After waiting a while in the drive thru to order, a young lady finally answered. I placed my entire order and then was told that they were out of burger patties. I then placed another order and was told that she couldn't hear me and that she'd take my order at the window. There was a red Cadillac at the window that had been there since before I tried to place my order. I pulled up behind this car and waited....and waited....and waited some more before finally just leaving. As I was driving off there was a young man behind the counter watching me drive by, lol. I would've understood if they were busy, but they weren't. There was only the Cadi, myself and another car parked near the entrance This was the worst experience that I've ever had at a DQ. I normally don’t write reviews… but our experience at this DQ warranted one. We ordered our 6 piece chicken basket and burgers and were asked to pull around front. After 20 minutes of waiting in the car with two screaming children, my husband finally went inside and found out that half our meal had been made and then the workers left. So we waited another 10 minutes for the rest of our meal only to discover, when we got home, that our meal was wrong and we had been given the wrong food. Our chicken was steak and had shrunk to a 4 piece. Not worth our time or money. Will not be returning to DQ...

I had a very disappointing experience with the manager during my visit. When my order was missing fries, instead of addressing the issue quickly, she accused me of lying and held up other customers while reviewing video footage. She later claimed she saw the fries in the bag, but could not provide proof when asked.

What should have been a quick stop after football practice turned into a 20-minute ordeal. I understand mistakes happen, but the situation could have been resolved much faster and with better customer service. A simple acknowledgment and replacement would have...
