Took my Alienware Desktop to have a new PCI put in, because mine stopped working. The tech, Mike, first told me that there was nothing wrong with the PCI. Just that it was blocked by a Virtual Agent and that he didn't know what that was. He didn't ask if I wanted Windows 10 or 11, and he told me they could not reinstall the Alienware software that controls the lights on the tower. When I hooked it up at home, the lights were no longer working and when I reinstalled the Alienware software to control them, it said there was no Alienware FX detected. So I took it back to them and when they had me pick it up, lied and said that the Alien FX chip burned out with the old PCI. I honestly would not trust this company to work on anyone's electronics, as it's clear the small business computer repair places are shady and only care about profit. Anything to make that dollar. This is why I never took my computers anywhere and the one time I finally decided to let a "professional" work on it, this is the kind of service I got - depreciation instead of appreciation. I will never use another local computer place again because of this. Also, the owner clearly could careless, obviously.
"Amanda,
We do care! I tried to call you several times, and left you a voicemail asking for a call back but did not get one. Sadly, your system was affected by a power surge that took out some of the components on the system. That is the reason that your lights and other elements to the machine stopped working. That is why you brought it to us in the first place."
I have never received a call from you so that is a straight up lie. And "sadly" your worker lied about that to you to save his own rear. Because he told me there was nothing wrong with the PCI, just that it was "locked by virtual user." I can take it somewhere else and prove it. I can't believe you'd get on here and...
Read moreI walked into the shop and there were two men behind the counter. The younger man gave a lady that was beside me excellent service and was really polite. When I got to the counter the man that was suppose to help me was very rude and short with me. He asked me what I needed in a very rude manner. When I told him I needed my computer to be fixed he didnât reply. He took it out of my hands, opened it, and mumbled something to himself. He didnât tell me what was wrong with the computer. When he started writing down my information he was being very rude about it. I gave him my phone number three times and he rudely told me to repeat it back to him. When he finished writing everything down, all he did was give me a paper. He didnât discuss anything with me. He didnât tell me how much it was gonna cost me. And he didnât tell me how long it was going to take. I called them three days after taking my laptop and they told me they had 10 more laptops that had to be fixed before they could get to mine. All he told me was that it was probably gonna cost me about 97 dollars. I didnât get a call for 2 weeks so I called them. When I called, they told me they didnât have my number correctly written down after I gave it to him four times the first time I was there and called them after three days. The guy that was on the phone with me said that the man that was supposed to have fixed my computer wasnât in that day. After being on hold for a while the man I was talking to said he would give me a call if the technician showed up or anything changed. Instead, when I got the call, they told me that my laptop was fixed and it was going to cost me 170 dollars. I had never been to this place before and Iâm definitely not...
Read moreLast week my MacBook Air completely shut down only taking me to my log in screen and immediately pulling a âPanic Errorâ message. I no longer had warranty on my device. Apple wanted to charge me a ridiculous amount where Iâd much rather simply buy a new laptop! Apple did refer me over to Westgate Computers which is a third party. When I called they explained the prices for diagnosis, and average hourly rate for working on it and gave me a âworse case scenarioâ which prepared me. They did have a couple days wait for them to get started on my laptop (or you can pay to skip the line). When they did, they called me to give me an update & ask if I wanted to proceed. Turns out it was a software issue and the computer had to be completely cleared and the software had to be re-installed. They managed to save all my personal documents including pictures & downloads. When I picked it up they answered all my questions. Totally recommend this place anyone having...
