Anaheim Central Library Parking Lot — Local services in Anaheim

I cannot express enough how much I love the Anaheim Central Library. It's been such a Godsend during COVID shutdowns with their curbside pickup service. Even before that there were so many fun and educational things to do. They are slowly getting the old programs back and the kids can interact with each other during indoor and outdoor activities. We attend several events for kids and families, sign up for summer reading programs, and take part in their very well assembled STEAM kits to take home. The staff is helpful, some are less talkative (if that bothers you), but are always available to assist. Some of the children's staff are so engaging and kind to my kids. The facility is welcoming and clean and they have a great selection of Spanish and bilingual board books for young children. There is plenty of space for quiet spots to read and a computer lab....

This used to be my childhood library. Not that long ago the smell of the library came to my mind. I could smell it in my mind and what a comforting smell that was. Well this afternoon I happened to be driving past there on Broadway and I said "no time like the present, to go in there and go smell that smell. To see if it even smells the same." And oh my goodness, I walked in there and I did smell that smell and the memories came flooding back. It was an amazing place then, it still is an amazing place, even better today. Amazing library. Brought the kids here while we were killing time in between activities. So much to do. LOVE that they have a little kitchen play area. Children's area had a GREAT selection of quality reading material. Overwhelmed by the amount of content available. Did not feel like I had to screen any of the books the kids were reading as just looking at titles and authors, it was very thorough of quality content both for fiction and non-fiction and for all ages.
