It doesn't deserve a single star. I have waited for more than 5 years, and finally last year they started asking me for documentation. Even though they don't give you much help to bring the documentation, because they ask for so much information and the agencies don't give you this information the next day, some take up to 10 business days, even though I sent everything on time, they sent me a letter in December that he had not sent the information on time. I sent everything by certified mail, and filed a report with USPS, and they assure that they did receive the documentation, they asked me for documentation again in December, and in less than 9 business days they want everything, they don't care that they are holidays, and Make it harder to get everything, but still get everything done on time. And I had the feeling that they wanted to deny me, because they want it, when I received a letter telling me not to bring the complete documentation on time, which is a total lie, and that I have 10 business days to appeal, but if I appeal I must Wait 6 months for them to review it, and if you do, apply again. I tried to communicate with the person in charge of my case, and her supervisor, but it is almost impossible to talk to anyone, it seems like they don't want you to get section 8, not even a bit of patience. Super bad service.

Update 12/23/2024 Just to update my case, the person who was on my case was Susana, I contacted her in June because no one had contacted me, and they told me they were behind so I had to wait, in December I received the resolution and they took me out of the program, according to them they say that I did not send all the information they requested, when this was a lie, I sent everything they sent me and updated up to the month they requested it again, Susana does not specify what she is requesting, and I only sent the information that is on the list. I carefully read what they say I was missing, and I submitted all this information, if they say that I am not there it is a lie, and unfortunately nothing can be done now. It's a shame that they don't do their job of checking all the documentation in detail, because that's what they ask for, and what a shame that Susana doesn't specify according to what she needed because I sent her everything on the list. How do you think that if I waited 5 years for this opportunity I was going to let it pass, not all the time involved in gathering the information, begging for the information to be given to me from different agencies because they didn't want to give it to me before the time that they regularly handle, all this effort for nothing. I have been on the waiting list for 15 years and have twice illegally lost vouchers. Once in 2017 when 350 families were promised vouchers and then told that Anaheim was out of money. The truth is ( I can show you the documentation proving this) the top p management officials due to a "secreterial oversite" lined their pockets with the money. Second time ( I am fully disabled with a son who was also qualified as disabled due to a heart and autoimmune condition that almost took his life) I was going to rent my mom's condo as she retired and moved. This was my childhood home and my son was raised here. He have no local family so our whole support network was there. Against their very own policy of allowing disabled families to rent from relatives, I was denied this opportunity. Kerrin Cardwell who pretended to be tbe main authority of AHA told my mother ( unethically on a phone call to not help me as poor people always figure it out!) And denied the rental and claimed my child who just had heart surgery and had active pneumonia an autoimmune condition and severe thelosemia as provided by labs and doctors according to labs and a doctors reasonable accommodation letter stating to not move my son from his childhood home. She denied our legal right to rent from a relative. Im going to say I believe that there is absolute discrimination going on and I have lived on the streets on and off as a disabled mother who now has 3 college graduates as my children are grown up. Im now considered elderly and still am getting unethicly messed with my the AHA. God forgive you all for the hell you have put my children...

Un recommended that if you appalling now or you’ve been applied before there is waiting list and limited property it corporate with them with all that and after you successfully registered with them forget they will communicate with you for couple years and after couple years from waiting and expect during that time you leave to another place or paying home elc.... when it called from the place you registered with the front desk is completely rude and just imagine one apartment available and ten applicants they called for it so it not wirth from beginning it called westing your time .👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼, additionally i want to publicly same tips that if you have Voucher for section 8 assistance Don’t transfer it to this city specially if your case worker will be start with latter (S) she and her supervisor will give you hard time and frustrating your case and make you curse the day and time you’ve been transferring your...
