On the first of May, I called DC Motors about the availability of certain inventory: a 2013 Mini Cooper JCW GP (a popular model among Mini fans, a car that never stays on the market for long). CJ told me to come down and check out the car, and when I arrived informed me that someone out-of-state had just placed a deposit on the vehicle. CJ, with a warm handshake, with a willingness to answer all my questions, commanded the gentle conviction of exuberance. During the short test drive it was difficult to hide my fondness. He seemed to sense it and, after returning, promised that if the deal happened to fall through, I would be the first person he would contact. Well, over five days passed, the car had been removed from the website along with other public listings, and I moved on. But one afternoon, two weeks later, CJ left a voicemail regarding the Mini and, thoroughly in disbelief, I found myself placing a deposit on the car first thing that next morning. Even though he could have made more money from one of the many inquirers, he stayed true to his word by calling me (a student and part-time worker, an idealist) first. My gratitude for CJ, the respect I have for his word and honor he invokes with it, is a force itself, a magnitude rivaled only by the joy I feel heel-toe shifting into long bends, accelerating WOT onto the 405, or even idling in an In-N-Out drive-thru.    Read moreI purchased a 2021 Corvette Stingray from DC Motors in August of 2023. During the conversation of purchasing the vehicle, I was never made aware where the car came from.
Buried in the documents was a statement revealing that all their Corvettes had been used in the Ron Fellows driving school, accumulating over 10,000 miles, and that the original GM warranty was voided.
After calling the dealership and speaking to Doug to clarify this fact, he stated I signed a disclosure informing me of thus and didn’t take accountability for never mentioning this important factor during the purchasing process. He also kept talking over me and wouldn’t let me get a word in.

The customer service he gave me was above and beyond what I’ve ever had in a dealer or anywhere else for that matter! He made sure to accommodate me for any of the thousand questions I asked and made sure I was happy with what I was thinking about purchasing.
