Disappointing Experience at Lincoln Pawnshop

I recently had an extremely unpleasant experience at this pawnshop that left me questioning their business ethics. Despite bringing in several high-value items, the staff seemed more interested in only buying brand-new merchandise rather than assessing the genuine worth of my belongings. I encountered several issues that have raised concerns about their evaluation process and overall business practices. I found that the staff appeared to have strict, inflexible policies. From the moment I walked in, I was met with a condescending attitude. A older man couldn't assess the headsets and then brought a younger employee that was tasked with evaluating my headsets and he casually dismissed them, insisting they only take in Oculus 3 models and above. This was baffling considering I had two Meta Quest Pro's in my bag an item that's clearly double in worth than an Oculus 3. His lack of knowledge and dismissive tone was incredibly frustrating. The experience didn’t improve when I showed them my luxury Louis Vuitton bags,but once again they reiterated their policy of accepting only new bags, completely ignoring the market value of pre-owned designer goods thereby overlooking the established market for gently used luxury items. Another point of concern was the shop’s selective policy regarding electronic devices; when I inquired about a Google Pixel 8 phone, I was told they only handle iPhone 13 models and above. This narrow the same dismissiveness extended to my Huawei Mate Xs2 phone, which they looked upon with clear disdain they didn't even bother to evaluate it properly, assuming it was just another ordinary Android phone. I even tried to test their expertise by showing them a Vertu K7 signature design phone they had no clue what it was,😂 only to be told they only deal with iPhone 13 models and above. This rigid, one-sided approach left me questioning whether this establishment is even functioning as a genuine pawnshop or something far less credible. Overall, my experience at this pawnshop was not only disappointing but also a stark reminder of the importance of knowledgeable and respectful customer service. I left feeling that not only were my items undervalued, but I was also treated in a manner that was both unprofessional and unethical. raises questions about their operational transparency. Although there is no concrete evidence, such practices can sometimes be associated with MONEY LAUNDERING activities. I even suggested I would try the other pawnshop adjacent 2 them and both looked at each other like 2 say good luck w/ that lady🤦🏼‍♀️I didn't even bother going,cuz they probably the same establishment there wasn't really concerned about any competitors near by that was obviously apparent.🙆🏼‍♀️ This observation, while speculative, suggests that potential customers and regulatory bodies such arse the BBB perhaps 🙄 they should approach the establishment with caution and seek further clarification regarding their business model. I am appalled at the way when I walked in two guys were there one guy was busy and on the phone, his partner said hey so and so, because he won't give me his name, please help her. I came in with a variety of scrap jewelry because I am a wholesale dealer for antique dealers and often have onesies of gold and silver jewelry. He looked at me at my pile of stuff and said none of this is gold. I had a pearl and gold necklace, a diamond 14 karat gold earring, and three or four other gold pieces that were broken that I know for sure we're gold he was rude when I questioned him and asked him to please give me the time of day that this is something I do for a living and that I had never been to their shop before because my other stores were closed today he gave me an attitude as if my piddly little stuff wasn't enough for his time. I have never been so offended in my life I have no idea what's going on with that guy and why he's having such a bad day but he's a young gentleman oh wait, he's a guy with dark brown hair and a dark brown beard that is poorly managed, just an observation, when I walked out there is another man there that told me he was very sorry for how I had been treated and that if I wanted to come back that guy would be off on a certain day. Sorry I won't be back I'm going to go give my money to someone else. He didn't even see the extremely collectible necklace that I had. I have been going to Lincoln pawn shop for quite some time now , and during this covid crazy time, I have had to visit but yet once again! Some times finances aren’t so great and I take the only one item that is of some value and borrow some cash untill payday! course you have to pay back a little extra, but to me it’s so much better than having my lights turned off or running out of gas or being hungry! I only have a few things of any value and my earnings are one of them and my mom always said that as long as you own a diamond you will never go hungry and that is so the truth! When I went to the pawn shop I already felt like a failure and sort of an embarrassment to myself to be at my age and have to borrow money from a pawn shop with my jewelery but these guys never once made me feel anything less than a reglar customer doing business like everyone else! And I go in there quite often and they have such great customer service skills all the time! In fact I was just there today and they told me that I didn’t even need to show my identification cards because they already know me that well!!!!! I will always return to Lincoln Pawn Shop.
