I am being very generous with this. My son deleted my hard drive. I brought it in to be fixed in May. Initially, I had contact from them and things seemed to go smoothly. Picked up my laptop but none of the files were recovered. Returned it about 2 weeks later.
Then, I heard nothing. Returned a month later, my laptop had been assigned to another employee and had been forgotten. Wait another month, I heard nothing again. Returned a couple weeks ago and I was told they would run the data recovery program in a different way for a full recovery and it would be done in 24 hours. Didn't hear anything. Went today and evidently they couldn't do it.
I realize they spent more time on this than originally planned but I had no communication at all since early June. It is now the first week in September. I realize that my laptop is likely not fixable but I've been waiting months with no contact. At least being told something would have kept me informed.
I feel like a 3 star review is very kind and generous considering the stress I've been under. A quick text saying they were working on it or that it was on a waiting list would have been nice.
As I said, it is more than generous to give 3 stars. I am not doubting their abilities to do the work, but I am not impressed by their lack of communication.

Edit: In response to the reply where you have record of multiple messages... Dropped laptop off on May 23. First text message on May 24. I also got one phone call at this time. Second text message on June 3rd where I asked for an update. I heard back on June 6th which was sent after I came in to collect the laptop after not hearing anything since May 24th. After I came in and collected the laptop, I was sent a text stating it was finished. I remember that was strange because I got a message stating my laptop was finished after I already was home with it. Next text message from you on June 7th asking for a review. I replied after having had trouble with a password which your business had updated. I was given this password. I Returned the laptop sometime later after finding out the data recovery was incomplete... maybe a week or two later. Next text message was June 17th where I was offered a coupon offer for Father's Day. Then I got a text message on 22 August 2022 with another offer. No updates since June via text. No phone calls. No emails since June 7th.
I am merely stating that you could improve your communication skills. I am not criticizing the work you did. From the other reviews, it appears as if your work is very good. As I stated earlier, this review is marked down for lack of communication. A proper response would be "I am sorry you had difficulty hearing from us. In the future, we will do better." I am not lying regarding the lack of communication. I have heard nothing since June and it is September. The only time I heard updates was when I came into the store and asked. I came across a YouTube video of Carrier unlocking sims card, though it could not be true. After a few days of seeing that video. and Facebook somehow knowing I watched that video I started seeing Facebook ads for the sim card. And decided to give it a try. So, I went to Amazon and started searching, I read all the reviews, and took a chance on GEEKING AROUND. For $17.00 I thought that chance was reasonable. And I am so glad I did. IT WORKS!!!! I waited to write this review till I found another carrier to test out their sim card to see if it would accept it. I went to Mint Mobile. And got the $15.00 plan to test it out on and got the E-Sim so i didn't have to wait for one to get mailed to me. And once the setup was complete, I made a phone call, and it went through!!! Yall this product is absolutely amazing and the customer service and even more amazing. They answered all my questions and helped me through it. We had the following devices that were 100% worthless and could not be used on any e carrier unless we paid of the phone bill which was over $2100 2 iPhone 11: Total pay off cost was around $900.00 for both 1 iPhone 11 Pro: Total pay off cost was around $850.00 Thats around $1750 just to pay off the phone (not include the outstanding bill for services) And for just $17.00 We have COMPLETELY UNLOCKED ALL PHONE with one Carrier Unlocking Sim Card :) :) :) MIND BLOWN FIY: Unfortunately, they don't make the unlocking card for Android / Samsung :( Only feedback I would give the company is to add a QR code that's linked to the website on the instruction card that comes with the packet. Read moreThe man is very friendly and his prices are cheaper compared to most. He’s also pretty fast. My biggest issue is he did not fix my fiancés phone with the correct screen. The screen he used is not the same his phone originally came with and he did not make mention of this. We had to realize it on our own when my fiancé went to look at upgrading his phone and it dawned on him the wrong screen was used. That is extremely frustrating because the phone looks silly now. The dot that is around the camera is uneven and is just off kilter as well as large. Which looks nothing like the original. I don’t know what screen he ordered but for 400 dollars I expected the same one. Also along one side of the phone it doesn’t look like it was sealed properly. I personally would have had him fix it properly because that’s just ridiculous to me that it’s not fixed correctly for the price paid but my fiancé is not the same as I. Obviously at least his screen is fixed but would have another place done a better job? Quite possibly. I almost rather have gone with the more expensive place cause maybe then his phone would look like nothing ever...
