Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Anderson

I asked how much the grilled chicken combo was and then asked if there was a choice of sides to choose from that comes with the price. She told me fries, onion rings, and cheese curds. I asked if there was anything not fried as a choice for side, she told me no. So I got the cheese curds (figured my Son would love them when he got home from school). I was distracted by another customer in line and gave my money, got my change and went to get a seat. Counted my change and thought I was given the wrong amount back (it happens at times no big deal) when I asked she told me I was charged extra for the curds! I told her she did not tell me that when I asked what was included with a combo for sides. She said something very quietly that I couldn't understand and shrugged her shoulders and walked off. I paid almost $11! What's worse is my sandwich had overdone bacon, very little lettuce at all, one slice of tomato, and felt not hot, and slimey to the touch. (I requested no sauce so it couldn't have been that) I went back up to ask about it and was ignored (they were not busy and had no other customers in line at that time ). After waiting, I finally asked with my voice slightly raised for a bag to take my food home in. (I felt bad raising my voice but it was the only way it seemed to be heard) So I did not eat the in my opinion overpriced not worth it $11 lunch, and found out there is no healthy side options (like a side salad) offered with a combo, that you do not have a choice of sides included in the price even though was told I did. ZERO STARS!!! ZERO STARS!!! 501S.Scatterfirld RD ZERO STARS!!! Absolute trash food and customer service. The drive thur Girl repeated our order to make sure it was correct 2X and the order was still completely wrong. We ordered a Triple bacon cheese (KPL) burger meal cup of gravy for the fries a large cheese curd and a double bacon cheeseburger (plain). To have a whole patty missing from my triple and not receiving fries at all (even after bringing food back). I have mobility issues so my s/o went in to talk with them and get our food corrected. The women completely over looked that we were charged for a meal and did not receve the full meal let alone wasn't even asked or received a drink that I was charged for!! She took the triple and just added a patty to it WITH NO GLOVE and walk backed completely in shock that my partner was watching down the kitchen line the whole time. ZERO STARS!!!!

Not to mention the quality of the food itself Unedible!! We can not even get through half of our sandwiches because they are so dry and over cooked the bacon fat is undercooked and extremely stringy. The only good thing this place has is cheese curds and half the time the cheese has cooked out and it is just a shell..

They also refuse to answer the phones.

I just moved to Anderson and specifically sought out DQ for a quick dinner with a treat. The girl at the counter was great and extremely polite. This Star is for HER! However, I could overhear the conversation between the girls in the drive thru area while I was waiting for my To Go order in the lobby and I was reminded of the disconnect of youth today and the ignorance that allows them to remain as such. Management may want to mute those employees in the future. And, also train them to stay customer focused while on company time. I checked my bag before I left when one of the aspiring leaders of tomorrow from the drive thru handed me only part of my order. My sandwiches had been in a nuclear attack and my buns were nearly melted from reheating. I had to ask for toppings on the main sandwich. I thought my fries were decent until I bit into one in the car and nearly chipped a tooth. My dog, who was the recipient of my 2nd sandwich, would NOT touch the fries. I finally gave up on the meal and started to open my pineapple sundae and was drenched in liquid from the pineapple not being drained. I am now heading to the car wash to clean my vehicle. I don't need to give you advice on running a business (no matter how badly it is needed) - but, I can guarantee you won't be...
